Worry for Bearic hampers the druid's ability to cast the spell but he manages it. The trees and bushes are enchanted to push back a cleared path for Urias to travel. Although the spell worked some distance ahead of him, Bearic seemed not to notice as he pelted after the rabbit. He sank his teeth into the creature's neck and began to feed.

Urias catches up with the Bear and watches him eat, He to takes some of the berries he carries and eats a couple for his snack. Once the bear is finished with his dinner Urias turns towards the north again. He focuses on enchancting the trees one more time to clear a path for them to travel though to make better timing.

This time the spell is less successful and Urias watches with dismay as the path remains narrow. Fortunately it's just about big enough for Bearic to squeeze through, but not comfortably.
*Can't you do better than that?*

Urias mutters under his breath about having the bear try it as he attempts to enlarge the hole using the same spell.

Bearic squeezed himself through the path . As he went, Urias managed to enlarge it to a more comfortable width.

They continue on their path north, trying to get to the Tower.

As Urias travels onwards, he realises the tower is the tallest he has ever laid eyes upon. It looms ahead, casting its shadow over him. It seems likely he will arrive there by dawn, if whatever's in the forest doesn't kill him first. The strench gets worse still and a dense fog begins to creep up on the travellers, making it hard to breathe. Even Bearic coughs as they carry on. It's plain that something is very wrong indeed and they are close to the source.

The fog being a nuisance to both him and his companion, Urias tries to conjure up a wind to carry the fog elsewhere so that they can breath unhindered. The feeling of rot and decay is not full and his magical instinct is yelling at him to leave this place and to never come back, but he still continues on determined to end what ever plaques the land.

Urias manage to conjure his wind and the fog is sent far away. But it's almost too late. Bearic gasps and collapses before they have got far. His eyes are white and wild.
*Help me. I feel sick.*

Urias kneels down beside his companion and puts his hands over the bears torso trying to use magic to help see what is wrong and to heal him.

The corruption in the forest is too great for Urias to tell anything more than that Bearic is suffering from the recent fog, but he may need to try harder to think of how to cure his friend.

Urias attempts at filling the bears lungs with clean air to try and get rid of any effects the fog would have caused. He makes a ball of incense to burn in front of the bears nose and mouth to also help awaken Bearic and to dissipate the fog.

Fortunately Urias is successful this time. Bearic breathes in the incense, blinks and looks up at Urias. He looks tired and miserable but his breathing returns to normal and he staggers to his feet.

*I think we should hurry, the sooner we are out of here the better.* They continue on the trail more. Urias keeps a lookout for any fog or mist so that he can blow it away before it envelopes them again.

Urias manages to disperse any fog they encounter. The tower looms ever larger and eventually Urias can see the full length of it in between gaps in the trees. It is dark stone, almost black, with arrow slit windows. It looks evil. The worst thing is, a moat has been dug all around and the drawbridge is raised.
*So far and we still can't get in* Bearic grumbled.
