Dina seemed to think a moment. "Then you will have to stay by my side Sir!"

"So I will, though that's no hardship," he said. "I could ask for no better company. And of cour tw ladies, I'd much rather be with you. After all, Morgan is to be my stepmother."

Dina blinked.
"But she is so young to have you as a stepson." She blurted then snapped her mouth shut. "You are lucky to have her joining your family, she is a wonderful lady."

"Yes, Taliesin?" Morgan called back.

The bard approached the Queen of the Fay, "So just to make everything clear, I am to neither eat nor drink of what the Fay offer me, unless it is pure water, correct?"

"Yes, but it's safest to drink water from a stream or pond. Then you will know it's not been tampered with," Morgan advised.

"And it would be wise not to... erm..." He searched for a less vulgar way to say what he meant, "Lay with the Fay?"

"I've never spoken to her but she is very beautiful and they say she is clever and powerful. I don't doubt that. She's younger than me, which sounds ridiculous, but it was decided that she should marry the king rather than his heir. At first I thought she had better marry me rather than my father, but that was before I met you, Dina. I can't help but be relieved that my father got Morgan so my heart is free for you." He grinned at her.

Talisin relaxed and laughed with her, "Well, that shouldn't be a problem with me. I am accustomed to staying awake after that sort of thing."

"Oh really? That's good then. Just remember, if you do find some lady who takes your fancy, they have a lot of tricks to ensnare their human lovers. They've had centuries to perfect their methods."

"And I would hope to learn some tricks of my own during our stay, no matter what they be in," Taliesin said.

"Truly? We won't be staying long," Morgan warned him. "So don't worry, all will be well as long as you are careful."

"Heh," the bard chuckled, "Care has not been one of my finer traits. I have the balance of a drunk man, and I forget many things easily. Yet, for your sake, I will try."

She will be the perfect Queen to your father." She looked at him properly for a moment. "And what if I break your heart Sir?"
