Dina blinked and laughed
"Is that courage for being near Sir Gawain?" she asked innocently. "I thank you Sire"

Arthur laughed.
"I don't find Sir Gawain at all fearsome, so no. I am sure this King Rion will be far more dangerous."

"We can just use charm on him Sire, that normally works for me." Dina said lightly to cover the fact that she was scared

Gawain grinned.
"You won't charm Rion, Dina. I promise you that. He's not that type."

GAwain laughed. He obviously knew something he wasn't ready to admit to just yet.

"Do you mean to say that a man would stand a better chance, Gawaine?" Dinadan asked. "I'm sure Tristram would be more than happy to make...sacrifices for the sake of the quest."

Gawain grinned.
"I'd like to see that. But I fear for Sir Tristram's sake I must advise against it. Rion is a fierce brute and he'd surely tear the gallant Sir Tristram to shreds if he tried to charm him."

Dindrane laughed easily at Dinadan's comments.
"Sire, may we leave?" She asked. "If we have a long way to go then surly we should start?"

Dina made herself ready to go, she flexed her bow arm as if she had a twinge.
"Sire, might I go on ahead? I can see if the area is good for us to progress."

Arthur looked anxiously at Merlin and then back again at Dina.
"I cannot let a lady go off alone. If you would accept an escort then I will allow it, but not otherwise."

Dina glanced down at the ground, then her gaze flicked up again and she smiled at the King.
"Of course, but Sire I do not wish to be treated differently because I am a woman, it is not fair on the rest of our companions."

"I know you do but but it is my duty to protect you. King Pellinore would be very angry with me if I let you come to harm," Arthur sighed. "And Sir Lamorak too, no doubt."
