Galahad turned his horse to face his brother. "Letting down my family? Breaking the code of chivalry? What do you know of Chivalry brother? Did it ever occur to you that my helping the villagers was more chivalrous than this quest will ever be? Chivalry isn't pretending to be a hero to get women into your bed. And really, we both know that I don't care enough for my family to be offended by your first comment. As if you and mother haven't let me down a hundred times already." Galahad paused considering his brother with unconcealed contempt. "So you want to finish the work the bandits began? Go on then. As if someone like you could finish me. Let's see if you will back up those empty words of yours with action. Show your companions that you are really the man you pretend to be. And if you are, then so be it, you will be rid of me. I'm sure Lady Morgan wouldn't object to that. Then with me out of the way you can go off and do what you always do with women, and please do not pretend you care about them. I've heard enough nonsense from you today already." replied Galahad. If Lancelot's tone had been icy, Galahad's was dripping with venom.

Lancelot waited a second after Galahad had stopped and then sighed, "Galahad, I feel sorry for you more than anything, it must be a terrible thing to see the world so black. Your arrogance is insufferable, can you even hear yourself? If our family has let you down, it can only be in the same way you have let mother down. I could care less about religion. Pagan, Christian? We all live and die the same regardless of what we believe.
"Real men do not wield their blades against their sixteen year old brothers. Real Men do not attack a lady as you just have now, regardless of what problems you may have with them. Real Knights do as they are told by their King's, and do not go gallivanting around with their own agendas. I would rather wear the clothes of a real knight, than have your blackness naked for the world to see."

Galahad laughed coldly. "My Blackness? My arrogance? Can you even hear yourself? And you think you have the knowledge to tell me what real men do and don't? The absurdity of that is beyond description."

"As you say brother." Lancelot said with a sigh and turned his horse around, talking to Galahad was like talking to a portcullis, you can see through him, and yet could never get through to him. "This is not getting this quest done."

"Because what was happening before was?" Galahad asked his brothers back.

Morgan turned to the two brothers. Her eyes blazed with fury and frustration.
"Enough! I will not have you quarrelling! What you did, Galahad, was done for the right reasons, and I accept that. And Lancelot, I know that you spoke out of concern for me, and because you are as eager as I to progress. Let it rest. We really won't get anywhere unless we move on. Can I trust the two of you to be civil or must I bang your heads together?"

Lancelot didn't say anything and just kept his back to his brother, thinking that is had already been settled and that Morgan had not needed to step in. He took a moment to regain his temper and then turned to Morgan and put on his best abashed face. "I am sorry, My lady, you are right, I forgot myself and I can only ask your forgiveness. As you know the areas druids are in, perhaps we should ride until we find a village and then we can ask directions"

Galahad said nothing, but glared sullenly at his brother.

"You apology is accepted," Morgan replied at once. "I know there is a castle not so far from the border. I had thought to go there. The lord was a great friend of my father. He's sure to welcome us. And the beds would be more comfortable there."

"That sounds better," Lancelot said with a smile, to him the drama forgotten for now, "Do you know which direction this castle is?"

"Yes. West and a little north, by the coast. I think we should take the coastal road and stop by Tintagel to speak with King Mark. There are druids in that area too. It's dangerous for them because Cornwall is predominantly a Christian kingdom but they are as stubborn as Sir Galahad here."

Lancelot couldn't help thinking that was the wrong thing to say in light of what just happened but he agreed with the sentiments. "We should hurry and get under-way then?"

"Yes. Perhaps Sir Galahad would care to guard our rear."
She thought it best to keep the two brothers separated for now. In the meantime, she got back on her horse and started in the direction she had indicated.
"Sir Bertilak's castle is on the borders, which means it's not as comfortable as Camelot, for example, but he is an excellent host, in the circumstances."

"Any kind of hospitality shall be well received I am sure." Lancelot said, hoping the man was a Christian so Galahad could feel more at ease. He knew Morgan said most of Cornwall was, but, still, most of not all. He galloped after Morgan with his horse just a little bit behind hers.

"I'm glad to hear it. It will be good to see my father's friend again," Morgan said.
Soon enough, the castle rose on the horizon. It was a true fortress. round towers stretching to the sky with high walls adjoining them. There was no moat, however, though the castle was on a hill.
