"I'm terribly sorry, I must have bumped you with my foot." Galahad said to Ser Bertilak's wife with little emotion. While her nudging his foot could have been a accident, he doubted it had been.

"You have nothing to apologise for," she whispered. "It is gallant of you to offer an apology for something that is my own fault, but you need not."
And yet she didn't move her foot.

"Your fault? No, my foot is clearly to close to you." Galahad replied as he attempted to slide his foot out from under hers in a way that wouldn't be perceived as rude.

"Oh, there isn't so much room under the table," she said sweetly. "Does my presence distress you, sir?"

"Ermm. Of course not." Galahad said. It did distress him greatly, but to say so would be exceptionally rude. "Why would you think that?"

"You seem uncomfortable," she whispered. "I would hate to think that a knight so handsome did not enjoy my company. Are you worried about my husband"?

Lancelot smiled at Morgan and tilted his head, "tall walls are only a pale comparison to thick ones, but it does sound fantastical, it shall be a joy to see them."
Lancelot looked over Morgan to Sir Bertilak, "Though I am sure they shall not compare to your great residence, Sir" he added.

"You are kind to say so, Sir Bertilak said in response. "The castle is home to me, that is all. I am merely fortunate to be blessed with a home that is pleasant to look upon, as well as defensible. I fear the Lady Morgan is biased with a child's perspective. High walls seem so much more magnificant than thick walls."
"So they do," Morgan said with a laugh. "Tell us, Sir Lancelot, which of the two applies to your father's castle?"

"Your husband?" Galahad said. "Why would I need to be worried about him? He seems a excellent host."

The lady giggled and leaned closer to him, smiling seductively.
"Oh, my dear sir, I meant only that perhaps you were anxious that my husband's presence would make you uncomfortable talking to me?"

Lancelot looked down in an almost embarrassed manner before looking back at Morgan, "I really cannot remember, My lady, it has been so long since anyone I have known has seen it, his rightful castle that is." he said, not going into much detail, "My uncle's castle has walls that are both hall and broad, if that is anything to go by."

Morgan's lively expression faltered.
"Oh, please forgive me, Sir Lancelot! I had forgotten about your poor father. I meant only to make conversation. Can we put it aside? I did not mean to hurt you."

"You could never say anything that would hurt me, My lady," Lancelot assured her with a fond smile, "It was such a long time ago now, I forget sometimes myself. It is already forgotten. So how far away is our destination?"

"Well, there's no harm in talking is there?" Galahad leaning away from her under the pretense of grabbing something from his plate.

"About two days, I believe, perhaps a little less. Unless we run into difficulties. But I do hope not. I am eager to see Tintagel again."
She smiled and toyed with her glass.
