Once they were on the road with their horses, Gawain looked around at his companions.
"Sir Ector kindly gave me a map," he said. "It's fairly basic but it should help. I thought perhaps we should consider sailing along the coast. That might get us to Cantium faster."

"By how many days?" Dina asked.

"Where would we acquire a boat?" Galahad asked.

"At a village along the coast, perhaps. It may not be possible, but I think it worth considering. I don't know how many days faster it would be. The map doesn't say," he sighed. "Sir Ector warned me that it is not to scale."

"We could always steal one?" Lancelot replied with mischief in his tone and looked to his brother out of the corner of his eye.

"Anything is worth trying to help the girls." Dina said.

"What is the use of a map that isn't accurate?" Galahad complained, giving his brother a dirty look after hearing his comment.

"Better than no map at all." Lancelot pointed out, not cowing under his brothers look, more than used to it by now.

"I'd rather be without a map rather than have one that will mislead me." Galahad retorted.

"It's not misleading, it is just not to scale, maps generally tell me the direction I need to go in, if it says to go north or south, we go that way, so what if it is not exactly as far north or south as it says? You do make everything five times harder than it has to be Galahad," Lancelot said, smiling at his brother, "How about you go one way without the map, we'll go another with it, and we'll see who gets there?"

"I have my morals to guide me." Galahad declared. "All you heathens have is a horrible map. I'd beat you there by days."

Dina rolled her eyes.
"Again with the heathens...." She sighed.

"Just ignore him, my lady, without a reaction he soon gets tired and calms down, like a child." Lancelot replied, the last part directed very much at Galahad, the look confirming it. With how boring travelling was, lightly mocking and teasing his brother would be his sole source of fun, their mother would be disappointed.

Gawain bit his lip to stop from laughing, before he trusted himself to speak.
"I've never yet heard of a map tha was totally accurate," he sighed. "Please remember, all of you, that these lands we travel to were hostile until recent memory. Anyone who tried to map their lands would be killed as a trespasser."
