Ironside admired one of Hallewes' rare smiles. He oftentimes forgot how young she still was. As a young girl she had been forced through too much, too soon.
"Do not patronize me, my lady. My chance at everlasting glory came and went, leading Vortigern's forces across that frozen river to clash with Uther's troops. The gods found me unworthy of it and took everything as punishment for my hubris. No, the grail is not mine to find. Slaying the knight who finds it though, now that sounds appealing."

The sorcoress nodded. "If you get that chance then you can do what you will with the one that finds it." She said "The quest is a folly."

The Red Knight grunted in agreement. "They are just untested boys thirsty for adventure. I suppose I was no different at that age. It is only folly if they fail, my lady. Would such relics not bring untold powers to those who wield them. Could a sorceress such as yourself not find a use for the artifacts?"

Hallewes gave him a thoughtful look "Prehaps, but what they search for is Christian artefacts and I do not live by that faith. Their powers would diminish in my hands."
