*I'm not walking all that way back! I'll stay, but I don't like it. I don't understand how this is your reward.*

Urias smiles, *I will let you ask for the next reward, that way we can both get what we want. That sound good for you?*

*Perfect. I'll make sure we get a big fat cow and a deer, and some sheep.*
Bearic's mood seemed to improve as they walked in companionable silence.
*Where are we going?*

Urias not sure himself answers *North, apparently there is an illness that has stricken the land and its inhabitants. We are to heal the land and the people, so I am sure they will be thankful for any help and you will get your cows, deer and sheep.

*I'd better.*
But Bearic still sounded less than entirely happy and it was clear there would be no reconciling him to the task just yet.
They walked for a few hours, heading through foothills and open ground and then a pair of scruffy armed men brandished swords at them.
"Give me your coin!"

Before the man get to close Urias focuses his mind on a spell that would bring any water underneath the ground to the surface to make the ground muddy and act as a mild quicksand.

Bearic, meanwhile, launches himself at the nearest man with a growl, the man screams and runs. There is, however, a second man. Urias tries but the spell sadly fails. He has time to make another attempt at either the same spell or a different one, before the men get closer.

Urias attempts the same spell focusing his mind on it harder to trap the man.

The spell succeeds and the man is trapped. His arms flail about as he starts to sink up to his ankles and then mid calf. Meanwhile, Bearic catches up to the other man and lays his back open, cutting through cloth and skin and flesh to expose the bone. The man falls down dead and Bearic turns and runs back in the direction of Urias.

Urias smiles at the bear as he runs back to him, Thank you Bearic, I was not sure if my spell would work the second time.

*I would not leave you to die.*
The bear grinned as he walked back to Urias.
*Check if they have anything useful.*

Urias smiles and chuckles to himself thinking how easy the life of a bear would be, but he bends down to search the two bodies anyway.

Urias finds some silver and copper coins, a pair of rusty swords, tattered clothing, a worn but decent cloak and some food that will tide him over for a while.

Urias looks down at his own robe, though changing into these mens clothes would act as a disguise he cannot bring himself to ditch the garments he already has on, He pockets the coins and the food but leaves everything else on the bodies.

*Let's move on* Bearic said. *I'm hungry and I want to rest.*
