"You flatter me Sir." Dina said with a grin. "I am not beautiful, like your mother or her ladies. I am simply pretty in my own way."
"Do you miss being there when you are at court Sir?"

"No one is beautiful like my mother. It is all the magic I think, it makes her look other worldly." Lancelot agreed, "But I am sure you garner attention from many men in court."
He paused at her last question, "I do miss it, avalon is like no other place, but I do not care much for places really, so long as I can train and adventure it is fine for me. And if i am honest with you, My Lady, it is nice to be away from your mother's ever watchful eye. Do you miss your home at court?"

Dina studied the water as she thought of an answer.
"Yes and no. I do so love court, it is so vibrant and wonderful and home is, well home. It is boring yet welcoming. There are this I miss about being there yet if I had stayed I would have regretted it deeply... I am sorry, I am making no sense."

"No, My Lady. I think I understand you perfectly." He said with a genuine smile as he turned his own back to the water, "It was brave of you to volunteer to go questing with us."

"It was either very brave or very stupid of me." Dina replied lightly. "I have yet to decide which. Court would have been much duller without you all so I wanted to come with you and enjoy being out and find out what you all do on your little quests. There is not many times that I can come."

Taliesin took his lute out of his pack and began to play, letting the waves be his tempo and the wind carry his music.

Galahad watched his brother flirt with Lady Dindrane. He did not know whether to be relieved or annoyed that his brother had returned to his usual behavior patterns. Galahad sighed, perhaps he had misinterpreted Lancelot's strange behavior. He suspected Lancelot would prove very trying on his nerves during the questing and was already beginning to wish he hadn't asked to travel with him.

Merlin waited patiently to board the ferry, leaning on his rowan-wood staff with a boyish grin on his face. When Viviane had invited him to visit her home again, he had not clue he would take her up on the offer so soon. It had been far too long. When he had last left Avalon, he had been but a young man.

Viviane finished speaking to the ferryman and the group was finally allowed to board. As their group was quite large, they had to go in two shifts, one with Viviane and the other with Morgan. They would be in Avalon soon enough.

Taliesin, seeing the shadow, looked up, stopping his music in order to investigate.

Tristram of Lyonesse looked with some alarm at the shadow as he waited to board. He crossed himself and put his hand to his sword hilt.

Arthur looked over at the shadow. Morgan whispered in his ear and then cried out "Reveal yourself!"

Knowing that sometimes dark creatures escaped the fay and resided in the waters in the lake, Merlin took no chances. He held his rowan-wood in front of him and murmured and incantation under his breath. Suddenly, a blot of lightning lanced out from the tip of his staff, slicing through the thick mists of Avalon, towards the ominous shadow.
