Mark kept pulling on the hilt as the other two hurried over. Telio moved surprisingly fast - he had always moved at a dignified pace as befit a druid. As Mark pulled, he felt a weight that was greater than a mere hilt. As his hand emerged he saw the gleaming hilt, gold in the pommel and crossbar, with leather wrapped around the hilt for comfort, and then, the blue-grey sheen of steel began to emerge.
"Praise the gods!" Telio cried.

Mark gazed at the sword, marveling at its beauty and clean lines. He sheathed the sword in the scabbard. It slid in easily obviously having been made for each other.
He smiled happily at Teilo and Dinas, a look of triumph in his eyes, but he quickly turned his mind to more pressing concerns.
"Now that we've found it, we should leave before the high tide comes in. How long do you think we've been here?"

Telio had wanted a closer look at the sword but he chose not to push it, for now. He considered for a moment.
"Two hours perhaps. I have blessed the place as is fitting. You should give thanks to your God, lord, before we depart."

It seemed the proper thing to do thought Mark. Grasping the sword tightly, Mark held it in front of him, hilt upwards like a cross and knelt. He muttered a small prayer of thanks. Once finished he rose.
"We should depart this place at once." he said.

"Of course. Then on to Tintagel," Telio said. "I would ask what you mean to do then, lord."

"I shall think upon it on our way back to Tintagel." said Mark. 'There are a number of courses open to us. The good of realm shall prevail though."
