"That way," she said, indicating the far side of the village, opposite to where Lancelot and the others had just come from. "He said he wanted to make our lord get rid of the bandits."

Lancelot grimaced as she said that, it was not for Galahad to go off trying to play hero when they already had a quest to go on, "thank you, Madame, you have been of great help, we shall see what we can do about your bandits. I would ask if your village has a well in it we could use, also, and then trouble you no further."

"Yes, sir, it's right by the biggest house in the village. You can't miss it."

"Thank you" Lancelot said and inclined his head to the woman and walked back to Morgan and the others. "Apparently Galahad has been this way, but the village has been prey to some bandits threatening it, and he has gone to make the local lord do something about it." Lancelot explained.

Morgan frowned.
"I told him that our own quest came first," she said, obviously annoyed. "Do you know which direction he went in? I suppose we'll have to follow."

Lancelot pointed straight on in the direction the woman had said to him, "Galahad does what Galahad does, I suppose, the sooner we get after him the sooner we can go on."

"Then we will go at once," Morgan said firmly. "You are quite right, Sir Lancelot. The quest simply cannot wait for whatever your brother is doing. We will go and fetch him and then progress onwards."

"As you say, My Lady." Lancelot replied and held a hand out to help Morgan back onto her horse.

They rode out together, the others following. After a while, Sagramore said "Look, horsetracks. Maybe seven men? Perhaps Sir Galahad has come this way."

"It is as good a lead as any, and in any likelyhood, the tracks will lead somewhere, and from there we can ask for directions to where ever the Lord is, Galahad was going there." Lancelot informed Sangramore as he circled his horse round to look at the tracks also.

"Aye, it could as easily be someone else though."
Morgan rode up to the two knights, having overheard them.
"Wait. I can scry for Galahad. It seems that sending him off is more trouble than I thought and though I won't know where he is, I will at least know what he's doing."

"What direction would you suggest we go in th-" Lancelot began sounding slightly annoyed before Morgan had come over.
"So we can find out how he is wasting our time, but not where he is wasting it?" Lancelot said, thinking the crux of the matter would still be in the dark, "Any information would be valuable though, so please do all you think you must."

Morgan sighed.
"If I knew Galahad's location I could tell you where he was, but it's not that likely that I will. Unless he is somewhere that has a strong magical resonance, but I very much doubt that. Scrying is a very visual art. We'll stop here a time and I will do it."
She flicked her fingers and a fire sprang up.
"I prefer water but fire will do. Perhaps Sir Lancelot will stand guard upon me?"

Lancelot thought that if Morgan knew Galahads location there would be no point scrying anyway, but he kept his opinion to himself, it would only needlessly fan the fires.
"Of course, Lady Morgan." Lancelot said, and took up a guarding possition near enough Morgan to keep watch, but far enough away to not interfere.

Mirgan seated herself in front of the fire. Her eyes fixed on the dancing flames and she sat unmoving for the longest time. Sagramore began to fidget in boredom.
Some time later, Morgan stood and put out the flames with a word. She turned to the knights.
"Galahad is in danger. He is entering a fight with half a dozen men. They are outnumbered. But I can't tell where they are. We must ride and pray we find him. Hurry!"
She ran to her horse, a little awkward from sitting still so long.
