Hallewes did not look good after the trip across from the mainland.

Medlryn Mawr helped her down onto the land.
"Do you need to rest, child? We may need to pay our respects to the king of this land."

Hallewes shook her head.
"I do not think this child agrees with sea travel yet." She said with a frown.

"That is no surprise. The fay do not often travel by water. They do not even need to," Mawr replied. "At least not usually. That is why changeling children are so seasick, also. Your child should be robust, but he - or she - will not enjoy sea travel."

Hallewes made a non-amused face.
"It should keep its feelings to itself." She muttered darkly.

"No such luck. What do you expect, bearing a child which is only half-human. It won't be easy. Even fully human children are not easy to bear," the old sorceror warned. "You agreed to this, remember."

"I am well aware of that." Hallewes answered. "I cannot see how some women want to go through with this."

"Most women do - and must - else there would be no humans left," Mawr pointed out. "No sorcery can make childbirth painless. There are spells to ease it, certainly, but nobody can change it entirely."

Hallewes looked disinterested in the subject.
"Indeed, but talking about the thing will not help me with carrying it." She said mildly. "Where are we heading to?"

!"The Giant's Ring. It's an ancient ring of stones from the olden times. We can make camp there and visit the king at his castle after. We will need to consider where the artifacts are hidden."

"What are we searching for here?" Hallewes asked.

"The cauldron and the sword. I may need to do some scrying to determine where they may be."

"Will anything make that easier for you?" She asked.

"I will need fire or a dish of water, but we will wait until we reach the Giant's Ring. We should press on. It may take us a full day to get there, or more. I have never seen a map of the whole of Ireland nor even this part of it. So we could reach it soon or it could take longer. The Irish are not given to mapping their lands, it seems."
