"I did not say that I was did I?" Hallewes asked. "A Necromancer also puts the dead back to death, were you aware of that Druid?"

"Then answer me this, who would raise them? Why learn the art of bringing the dead back to life only to know how to put them back, when there are other ways you could do so."

"Who can say?" Hallewes asked. "Excuse me one moment."
She turned her back on the druid and pulled Meldryn close. "He will not believe me until he has visual proof that we are doing nothing wrong... yet." She whispered into his ear.

"Then what do you suggest?" Meldryn asked. "He must have got his suspicions from somebody. He mentioned a spirit. Perhaps he has summoned one of my wife's people and they told him of our goals? The fay are a cruel people and often use mankind in their wars against one another. My wife and I are not without enemies among the fay."

"We should allow him to join us. Teach me the little things I need to know until he sees that we are harmless." She replied. "Then when I am stronger and better and not with child we can continue in peace."

"Perhaps. I don't like this man. How can you be sure he will not attack us?" Meldryn asked.

"I cannot, but he is a druid... He will not take a life unless he truly needs to or we pose some threat. Which I do not plan to at the moment."

"It would be easier to have your knight kill him," Meldryn pointed out. "How do we benefit from trying to persuade him we mean no harm?"

"And what if Sir Ironside loses and he decides that you and I are a threat? Even being with child will not help me, I mean to make good to my promise to your son."

"I know you do, but there are two of us, and Sir Ironside. One druid is surely not a match for the three of us," Meldryn argued.

"I am still weaker from our trip." Hallewes said. "And if one of your wife people sent him then he may be hiding more then it seems."

"Perhaps you are right. Fine then, we will try it your way," Meldryn agreed. "But I do not trust him."

"I do not ask you to... just trust me." Hallewes answered.
She turned back to the druid.
"Forgive us, but we would like to invite you to join us, to see that we mean no harm." She said to him.

"Then we are at an impasse then arent we." She said mildly. "For I do not wish to harm you and you do not wish to see what I am truly learning."
