"But mildness is so dull! But at least you have kissed somebody before, so it won't come as much of a shock to you when I kiss you," Gawain said, and grinned. "Come on, wouldn't you prefer a man with fire in his heard to one who seems to have milk for blood?"

Dina raised her left eyebrow a little.
"Who said that I would allow you to kiss me Sir?" She asked, a slight smile forming. "I prefer a man with more courage then weakness yes."

Gawain's laughter boomed across the courtyard and he leaned close so she could smell the whiskey on his breath.
"And there you have it! A weak man would never have the courage to kiss you. So...either I must kiss your or seem a coward."

Dina blushed a deep crimson. She took a tiny step back.
"Would you be such a man to kiss a woman without her permission then?" She asked. "Maybe with some you have to win the right."

"I'd rather have your consent than not, but there are some who would not care if you liked it or not. But come, now, am I that unpleasant?" He countered, leaning closer still.

"Not at all Sir." Dina mumbled. "I just do not kiss a man because he has said that he wants to. He has to earn the right."

"And how would a handsome Lothian like myself go about earning the right to kiss a beautiful lady such as yourself?"

"Beat me here." Dina said after but a moments thought. "We both have bows and there is the target. Beat me and you can kiss me."

Gawain laughed and reached for one of his arrows.
"Agreed. That seems more than fair. But best be careful your arrow doesn't aim straight for the heart."

Dindrane retreived her bow from where she had dropped it after tasting the whiskey.
She notched again and smiled easily.
"Unless you stand in front of the target Sir I would not aim for the heart."

Gawain laughed, bowed and stood to one side so she could shoot, idly playing with one of his own arrows. He kissed the metal arrowhead (not the pointed end) and then winked at Hallewes, waiting for her to shoot.

Dina grinned then studied the target carefully. She had been taught to always take her time shooting.
She pulled the yew taut and shot.

The arrow landed in the target but not quite at the bullseye, though it was very close.
"Good shot," Gawain observed. "Best of three, my lady?"

"Beat of three." She agreed, she stood to the side to let him aim

Gawain notches his arrow and looses but either luck isn't with him or he is distracted by the pretty girl standing beside him because his hand slips at the crucial moment and the arrow flies high up into the air and far away. It disappears, nowhere near the target.
