"Oh, but then I can't plan what games we will play together or arrange something that will be to your liking, my lady. Why be so cruel?"

Dina bit her bottom lip worried someone would think her cruel.
"Planning takes the enjoyment out of finding out thought Sir." She said simply. "If you plan then when do you get the chance to just go for it?"

Gawain laughed.
"I hardly ever plan things, my lady. But for you, I would want everything to be perfect. Most of the time I do what I want, when I want, and hang the consequences. Or do you prefer that in a man?"

"I do not plan, it is so easy to break an idea if you plan it, dont you find?" Dina replied. She skipped the question of prefering men.
"If you do not plan you can do what you like when you think of it in the first place."

"That's true. I prefer it that way but , sometimes you have to know what you will do at a later time. But it's good to know that you are like me, Lady Dindrane. I will remember."

Dina gave him another smile. "I get rough ideas sometimes." She said. she strode over to the target and plucked her arrows out, putting them away safely.

"I would like to hear more about your ideas," Gawain said. "Perhaps I might suggest you as a possible bride? Both of us are of an age to be married and I am heir to Lothian and the Orkneys."

A flicker of something crossed Dina's face then was replaced by a smile.
"That is up to you Sir. It depends if we survive this quest."

Gawain laughed and reached out to brush a strand of hair back from her face. His touch was light.
"But of course we will. The heroes always survive in the tales and Arthur is fated to be the greatest king the land has ever known. We will leave Camelot as a mixed group of adventurers and come back as heroes."

Dindrane blushed. "Arthur is truly the King that will be spoken of for many many years. He is the great King that will unite us all."

"He is. We are honoured to be his companions. Maybe they will sing songs about us for hundreds of years," Gawain laughed. "Would you like that, my lady?"

"I do not know, yet. I am content to be known as I am here in my own way, yet it would be exciting to have tales told in all the lands would it not?" Dina said, smiling.

"Indeed it would. I don't want to be just Gawain, Lot's son. I want to do great things for my own sake. But I think it's harder for a woman to make a name for himself, so you will surely be remembered as one who has done great things," he said.

Dina smiled and nodded "Though there are different reasons that some chose to come, that is one of many I think."

"Aye. Though what other reasons would you suggest, my lady? If not eternal glory. Perhaps some just like to travel?" Gawain suggested.
