"Lancelot didn't say that," Gawain murmured. "He said that we should go first and help the two of you up afterwards. Though what we are to do afterwards about finding the girls, I don't know."
"Perhaps I can help," Seren offered. "My magic is not powerful enough to let me transform into an animal or fly upon the wind, nor can I scry for people I have never met, but if I scried in fire - I prefer it better to water - I might learn something about the way the castle is laid out."

"Lets go then." Dina said. "No point in talking anymore."

"Wait. I should do my scrying first. Before we risk being spotted. And what about the rope?" Seren asked.
Gawain patted his saddlebag.
"Here. Why don't you do your scrying now, so we can be off? Dina, do you think you have sufficient arrows, or would you want to prepare some more while we wait for Seren to finish her...scrying?"
Seren lit a small fire with a flick of her fingers, careful to ensure that it was as far away from the castle as possible and shielded by her companions and their horses. She sat in front of it and gazed into the dancing flames. Somehow her expression was both focused and vacant.

"I have enough." Dina said, she went to her pack on the horse and pulled it off. "Even if I didnt we would have to make do."
She took her bow off of her back and opened her quiver stuffed with arrows. Dina pulled one out and tested the strength of the bow.
"Now just to find where to go up."

"Why don't you and Lancelot look around the castle and try to find the best place for that?" Gawain suggested.
He was busy looking through his saddlebags.

Dina nodded and went to the right, without waiting for Lancelot.

Lancelot watched Dina go and got the distinct impression she was annoyed at something, but it didn't bother him now. He considered going after her for a second, but then decided they could cover more ground alone and started walking off to the left.
As he walked round he looked up at the castle walls for weak areas in which they might be able to get in, open windows, even if they were slightly open, or low crenelation for them to use the ropes to climb up to.

Unfortunately, there are no low crenellations for them to reach. The walls are high and it will be both difficult and dangerous to throw the rope up to catch, but Lancelot realises that it is possible, with a good aim and a sure hand. He sees no open windows or convenient ledges.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the castle, Dina too observes the high ramparts. She notes a window that is partially open on the third floor of the castle. The best thing, however, is the gargoyle that juts out a short distance away. It looks like they could climb to the ledge near the gargoyle with the rope then make their way across the ramparts and then down to the open window, if they can't find stairs to the inside of the castle.

Dina took note and started to run back to the group.

Seren was still staring into the fire. Gawain held out a hand for quiet as Dina got back.
"Did you see anything?" He whispered.

Dina nodded but stayed silent. She went to Gawain and put her arm round him.

He pulled her in close and whispered close to her ear.
"Well? It's alright so long as we whisper. Seren is still in her trance."

"There is a gargoyle that can have a rope wrapped round, and an open window close by. If we climb up there, then make our way across it may be a way to get in." She whispered.

Gawain nodded.
"We'll wait to see if Lancelot has seen anything but that sounds good."

Lancelot returned, not looking happy at having not found a thing.
