After a day of riding, Ser Ironside arrives at the gates of Camelot with Hallewes riding beside him. They had gone at an easy pace so as not to tire the horses in case they came under attack and needed to make a hasty retreat. Ironside wore his crimson plate with a matching helmet obscuring his face and his greatsword hanging from his back.

Ironside removes his helmet, revealing his battle-scarred face to the guards above, and shouts back his response.
"Sir Ironside of the Red Lands escorting Lady Hallewas of Cerden, answering the summons of the king!"
He flexed the fingers of his right hand anxiously, ensuring their dexterity in case he needed to draw his greatsword in a hurry.

The guards nodded but they watched Ironside with wary eyes.
"Enter, and speak with Sir Kay so your chambers may be prepared."
The gates swung open.

The Red Knight nudged his horse through the gates warily, his eyes darting back and forth in an attempt to remember as much as he could about the area. If this turned out to be a trap, such details could be of use during an escape.

All along the watchtower princes kept the view, while all the women came and went; barefoot servants too. Outside in the cold distance, a wildcat did growl- two riders were approaching and the wind began to howl...
As the mists rolled back, the guards could see the a knight's crest on the pennant of one of the riders' horses. As they reached the gates a loud voice called up "I beg entrance to see king Arthur; I am sir Bedivere, back from my travels"

One of the guards leaned forward and yelled down "You've been gone some time then! King Arthur is not here. He has gone off on a quest. Sir Ector is Regent here. Will you seek audience with him instead?"

Bedivere shouted his reply "Indeed! It has been a long time since I was last in Arthur's realm..."
Bedivere seemed to lose himself briefly in memories past, before continuing "Sir Ector you say? Yes, I daresay we have news from abroad that is worthy of his listening."

"Then enter. Your horses will be taken care of and Sir Ector will see you in the throne room! Welcome to Camelot, Sir Bedivere."
The gates swung open just wide enough to admit the two riders.
