"Alright, let's do that. Lancelot can take the rearguard, if he's willing," Gawain said. "I'd do it myself, if only I were fit to do so."
He looked at Galahad.
"We'll find you a new blade, somehow. The first enemy soldier we see, we'll take his blade from him. In the meantime, there's my dagger if you feel inclined to use it?"

Galahad accepted it wordlessly.

"Let's go then," Gawain said, looking round at the group.

Galahad said nothing, but began to walk.

Dina went over to the Princesses.
"Are you two ready and alright to go?" She asked them, knowing that it would be pretty stupid to leave them

The girls looked at one another.
"Yes, we're ready," Guinevere said, clearly the strongest of the two. "You will do as I ask, won't you?"

"I will not say a word." Dina said, clearly not happy with it. "But you have to promise me that you wont rush to a convent without at least living a little first, if you are truly not happy why not come back to my home, my family are all christian and would look after you better."

Guinevere considered for a moment.
"I will think about it," she said. "I cannot promise more until we reach Camelot. But tell me, do your companions know of our little scheme?"

"None do." Dina replied. "I will not tell."

"Thank you. Then we will tell your friends our new names," Guinevere whispered. "And all will be well."
"And God bless you, Lady Dindrane," Gwendolen whispered.

Dina shook her head at Gwendolen's words.
"If we are to get on, you will call me Dina." She said with a weak smile. "I have often told my father off for calling me Dindrane."

"Dina, then," the girl said. "And thank you so much for your kindnesses to us."

"It is not a kindness, for I wish that you didn't ask it but it is your choice not mine."

"It is my sister's choice," Gwendolen said, glancing at her sister.
"But it must be done to save my honour. The woman is often held to blame, you know. That is the terrible truth," Guinevere sighed. "Fear not, Dina. We will be fine."

"And what if your father gives you away?" Dina asked. "And you would not be blamed. Arthur is not like that."
