Sir Mordred Pendragon rides up to the gates. Unluck when the Knight arrived at Camelot this time he wears fine clothing and rides a jet black stallion which snorts as it waits. Looking up Mordred covers his eyes, "Hello!"

The gate was watched by a brawny nun, her body hidden beneath a white robe. She had a an ugly hatched face framed by her wimple and looked more like a fishwife than a bride of Christ. She peered through the gap in the door.
"'Oo are yer? No men allowed here unless they's passin' froo wi' p'mission from t'Abbess. Yer one of t'King's knights?"

"Come, then. But yer'll 'ave ter stay in t'guest 'ouse. That t'side of the main Abbey. It's only priests as allowed in the Abbey itself."
She opened the gate and bellowed to another nun, this time unseen.
"Take I'm ter guest 'ouse."
When Mordred rode through the gate, he saw a younger nun standing nervously with her hands folded. Though she was mostly covered by the habit and wimple, her face was youthful and pretty, perhaps twenty. She looked at him with big blue eyes.
"Ready, sir?"

"Yes. Sister Agatha. I passed my novitiate three years ago. Please follow me."
She indicated a grey brick building that lay ahead. It was separate from the main Abbey building but looked to be a decent size.
"The king stayed here a few nights ago. Why is it that you did not travel with him? I heard you tell Sister Mary that you are the king's own brother."

"I felt that I needed to relx for some time. My brother did not trust me to stay at Camelot without him so I we settled on here." Entering the small building then stepping back out, "Tell me Agatha do you often listen to others conversation?"

"I...was not eavesdropping," the girl said, dropping her eyes. "It was my duty to be there. Sister Mary has me run messages for her and escort visitors inside. She must stay to guard the guard. You must see that, sir."

Mordred laughed then stopped himself, "Sorry sister but Sister Mary guards the gate? I mean no offense but that is a humorous thought. Although the tongue on her I could see her driving away raiders with it."

Sister Agatha giggled.
"We are a house of faith and learning, sir, and we are under the king's protection. Why should we need armed men to guard us? It's better this way. No man would fit here in this house of women."

"Your food will be brought to you here. It would not be proper for you to join the sisters in the refectory. But we do set a good table," she said, as she showed him into a plain but good-sized room. There were no tapestries on the wall, no soft cushions, but he would be comfortable enough for the time being.
