Viviane had gone to bathe and change after their journey but she came out looking revitalised by her return home. She went smiling to Galahad.
"My dear son, what can I do for you? Will you drink a cup of mead with me?"

"I will drink mead with you if you wish mother, but the true purpose of my visit is to learn more about Morgan." Galahad replied.

Viviane went to the cabinet and poured drinks, handing one to Galahad. The mead was sweet and slightly sticky.
"What do you mean, Galahad? Why should you need to learn about Morgan?"

"She is leading my quest group." Galahad replied. "Is it not natural to wish to learn more about her?"

"I suppose so, yes. You will be under her guidance for some time. I know Morgan quite well but I am not sure what kind of thing you wish me to tell you. I'm assuming you already know that Morgan is a powerful sorceress, and a pagan. I hope you will not quarrel with her, my love," Viviane said gently. "You are strong in your faith and I admire that, but I hope you have the strength to see that others are equally sure of their beliefs, even when they do not agree with yours."
As am I, but I raised my sons to respect a mother's bond with her children, and Morgan is no relation of ours.

(OOC: Sorry, but what are the italics representative of? Thought?)

OOC - yeah, borrowed that technique from A Song of Ice and Fire, so it distinguishes thought from other text.

"Do you have any idea why Morgan is participating in the quest?" Galahad asked.

"No doubt she wishes to see these fabled objects," Viviane replied. "And she has grown fond of Arthur. Besides, a woman can yearn for adventure and glory as well as a man can, though it's certainly less common."

"I see." said Galahad uncertainly. "And do you believe she will make a good leader?"

"I do. Her father was a great leader of men. And better Morgan than Morgause, who cares only for her own pleasures," Viviane said quietly. "I would not trust that one with even one of the Treasures, I promise you."
She sighed and sipped her drink.
"Does it trouble you to be led by a woman?"

Galahad nodded. "A woman, and one of a different faith. I must admit I do have some concerns." Galahad thought for a moment. "I spoke with Morgause. If Morgan is anything like her sister we will not get along."

"I never knew Morgan to go running after the men as her sister is said to do. But I don't know Morgause well so I could not tell you how similar or dissimilar they are in other ways. As for faith..."
Viviane sighed again and turned her glass in her hand.
"Morgan shares her faith with your brother and myself. You've lived on Avalon, you know how much faith means here. Please do not judge Morgan hardly because she is not a Christian."
