""Yes, he does," Morgan agreed. "I've not spoken to him, but I saw him in passing in the hall. He is handsome, though. Surely that counts for something with you."
She smiled a little slyly but Dina couldn't see because Morgan stood behind her.

Dina blushed and opened her mouth as if to say something but thought better of it.
"Looks are not as important to me." She said "I would prefer to be loved for being me and I will do the same to the one I am with."

"How noble of you. I've met ladies who care only for a man's look, or his skill in bed, or his wealth. I've met few enough who wanted to marry for love. I hope you have that luxury, Dina. But you never told me, who it is you love."

Dindrane didn't answer for a long while "I do not wish to tell you Lady Morgan, I am sorry I do not mean any offence but I know that he will never be with me and I wish to keep him to myself." she answered quietly

"Oh. That's sad. But you know, sorcery can help a woman win over a man she would not otherwise be able to take for a lover. In the name of our friendship I'd be pleased to help you out."
Morgan kept her voice light but she was trying to figure out who the man was.

Dina shook her head, "I do not want help, Lady Morgan. If he is to love me after all I want it to be for me not under a spell. Thank you for your offer though, maybe someday I will wish that I took you up but all people should be free to make their own choices."

"That's fair, I suppose, but I can't bear to think of you heartbroken from some man not returning your love. It's just too tragic. You are too good not to be loved, Dina., and you are one of the few ladies at court I have respect for, outside my mother and sister. I want you to be happy."

"I am loved, just not in the way that I wish to be by him, but it matters not. I will find someone someday to make me happy. Maybe it will be Sir Gawain maybe another who really knows?" Dina said ernistly. "I am perfectly happy too. I enjoy court and who I speak to there."

"That's good, at least. But I'm here if ever you need me," Morgan vowed, "I know that life isn't always easy for women and I would like to help if I can."

"I will remember that," Morgan said softly. "In the meantime, we should make best use of the time we have to behave like women because it may be harder to do so on the quest. There will certainly be harsdhips."

"I know, and in a way Im looking forward to them." The girl said. "I do not know what possessed me to say that I wanted to go on this quest but I am glad that I have."

"Because not many can say that they have gone on this quest." Dina replied with a smile "And it is exciting, travelling into the unknown do you not find?"

"Oh, definitely," Morgan agreed, and her voice was warm. "I have travelled to the kingdom of the Fay before. It was the most exciting thing I'd ever done. Nothing since has compared to it, until now. Everything seems brighter here in Avalon, but it is even more so in the kingdom of the Fay. Colours are bright as jewels or precious metals, food tastes ten times better and the wine is headier. But I don't recommend eating and drinking while you're there. Time passes differently in their world. I was gone less than a day but when I returned to Avalon, a week had passed and Viviane was frantic with worry for me. But I was lucky, Dina, I've heard of men and women stray beyond the world of man and return ten, twenty, even a hundred years later. We will be safe, so long as we do not eat their food."
