"As do I. That's why I was surprised you asked. I can't imagine why anyone would have reason to be disloyal to Arthur. He's no tyrant like his father."

"There may be some outp there that do not realise that yet an who want to destroy the only thing that I pure and good in the land."

Morgan was silent for a while.
"Perhaps you are right," she said at last. "I know that the kings Vortimer and Rion have declared themselves against Arthur and it's likely that some of the other kings in Llogeyr, Wales and Scotland may do so. But...Arthur will triumph. How could he not, when he has allies such as Merlin and the Lady Viviane, and the client kings such as your own father? And me. He has me too, and my magic is strong."
She put aside the brush and looked at Dina.
"I saw the future, Dina. It was glorious. Arthur had gathered the best warriors in all Britain to him and Camelot was the most wonderful place in the world."

Dina gave a smile "There is always those ill-content with peace Lady Morgan , they will always try and break it. It is the way of men."

"There's truth in that," Morgan agreed. "We women must do all we can to persuade them that peace is worth keeping."

Dina nodded her agreement and quickly plaited her hair.
"Hopefully not all." she said quietly

"But what do you mean?" Morgan asked.
She had an inkling but it surprised her that Dina might be alluding to such things and she wished to be sure.

"Peace may be expected from us at a price too high to pay." Dina answered

"What price would be too high?" Morgan asked.

Dina fell quiet again, she looked out of the window as she phrased the answer in her head
"Have you ever seen a pet animal?" She asked thoughtfully "one that was found and brought back?"

"You mean a wild animal that was tamed?" Morgan asked. "Or a pet that has got lost and found again?"

"A wild animal is never truly tamed Lady Morgan." Dina said with a small sigh. "You ask the price too high? Being as one of those, trapped in a cage for all to look at and admire but altimatly alone. If I was to loose my freedom I would find that the highest of prices."

"Oh, that's a fair point. I would too. But so long as we marry the right kind of man, all will be well. I mean...who would dare keep women such as us caged?"

"Sometimes the right man is not what is right for what is needed." Dina pointed out. "Who would dare find the most violent or the most beautiful of animals in the wild and take them as pets?"

"I would, for the right kind of creature. Have you ever heard of the winged cat named the Bastet, Dina? It's a truly beautiful creature. I have never seen one but I would so love to ride a creature like that."
