Arthur and his companions are invited to rest in the guest chambers for a couple of days prior to entering the kingdom of the Fay.

Dina brushed out her hair and wandered to a window where she sat. She absently continued to brush, humming as she did so.

Morgan approached. She hadn't really talked to the girl from Listeneise much but she felt it would be wise to do so. After all, they were to be the only two women on the mission.
"Lady Dina, may I join you?"

Dina stopped her brushing quickly and stopped her humming.
"Of course Lady Morgan, please call me just Dina." She drew her feet up under her so that there was room for Morgan to sit. "How are you my Lady?"

Morgan seated herself next to Dina with a friendly smile.
"I'm well, thank you. It's so good to be back in Avalon. I love it here. I hope you will enjoy our visit."

Dina smiled back at her and glanced out of the window. She started to brush her hair again, very slowly.
"I am sure that I will. It is very pretty here. Did you live here long?"

"A few years, no more. But I loved it," Morgan replied. "I felt like I belonged here. I never did at the Abbey. Would you like me to brush your hair for you?"

Dina gaveMorgan a startled look as if she didnt realise that she had started to do it again.
"If you would like Lady Morgan. It is a place that you can feel you can relax." She agreed. "It must have been wonderful living here if only for a few years."

"It was, yes. I've misesd this place. It really is beautiful everywhere, not just the little you've seen."
She took the brush and began to run it gently through the girl's hair.
"We won't have much time to relax but I feel that our time here will fortify us for whatever lies ahead. But that's not why I wanted to speak to you. We are the only women who will be on the quest. Are you worried about that at all?"

Dindrane took her time in replying. "I am not worried Lady Morgan. I know that the knights that we are with will not allow harm to come to me, or you while we journey with them. I was always jelous as a child when my brothers went off with my father and I was left at home. I wanted to join them and couldnt see why I couldnt. Now this is my chance."

"Indeed. I don't blame you for that. Not in the slightest. But...Arthur plans for us to travel in separate groups. So, I hoped you weren't going to be anxious at being the only female in your group."

"I do not beleive that any that we are travelling with would hurt me." Dina said with conviction. "It will be strange not being with another wman though. I am used to having somebody that I can talk to as me."

"Yes. I would be willing to have you travel with me if you prefer, but if you are comfortable, we'll say no more about it. I know you're right that no-one would offer harm to you. It's going to be strange for all of us, perhaps a little less strange for me, because of all the things I've seen. But you are very brave, Dina. Never think otherwise."

Dina was shocked. "Me? Brave?" She questioned, then shook her head slightly restricted by the brush that Morgan was holding. "I am not brave, just very stupid."
