Dina glanced at him out of the corner of her eye.
"Of course." She said too quickly. "My family means everything to me."

"Everything? But what about when you marry? Will you have no love left for your husband?" Gawain teased. "Should your husband not have his share of your love?"

"Fair enough, but shouldn't you love your husband more than your blood family? For myself, I'd hate to marry someone I couldn't love."

"It depends if he deserves it." She replied. "I will marry whoever I am told to by my father, at the moment it is him that I owe everything to, when he decides who and when I should marry I will owe everything to that man."

"That's good to know," he said. "And what if your father wished me to marry me? Would that please you?"

Gawain's smile widened.
"I'm pleased to hear that. But I hope you'd be happy about it too. I know I don't take everything seriously but this is one thing I am serious about."

Dina looked at him and found herself offering a smile to him.
She didnt want to hurt this man by saying what she really thought. "Of course Sir, I would be happy so long as I was allowed to continue with the bow and i was safe."

"I would never seek to deny my wife anything that gives her pleasure," Gawain said at once. "Unless what gave her pleasure was to lay with another man. I could not accept that. But everything else, yes, of course I could. I would be happy for my wife to wield a bow so long as she and I could shoot together on occasion."

Dindrane laughed lightly. "That is if we survive this quest and you feel the same way after." She said. "You may hate me once this is done."

"But how could I hate you?" Gawain asked. "What reason would you give me to hate you? You are not evil, my lady."

"No, but few men are granted the opportunity to do so before marriage. I should consider myself lucky, shouldn't I? It's not usual for a man to spend much time in the company of the woman he might eventually marry."

"There is probably a good reason for that," Dina replied, she grinned at him. "He may go off of marrying her if he knew what she was like before it happened."
