The king laughed at her.
"So..you love this one man with all of your heart, you say? So how can you have space in your heart to love this other man you are just beginning to care for?"

"I love him in a different way." She said somewhat lamely. "One I would do anything to be with but he wouldnt even look my way, the other likes me and seems to enjoy my company. I love him as a friend and I hope someday it will be more but the first will always rule my heart."

/////////// Some time later, the Queen of the Fay had a servant blow a curved old horn for quiet. Arthur thanked her and stood. "Knights and friends, I have consulted with the Queen and I would like us all to gather together to discuss what I have learned." Galahad made his way over to Arthur, completely ignoring the dancers as he made his way past them.

Eventually, Merlin arrived with Sir Sangramore in tow. Sir Dogonet was notably absent. The glum look on Merlin's face made it evident that the knight's fate was not good. They had found the knight with a fay maiden in a small clearing, having already eaten food from this realm. There was nothing they could do for him. According to the laws of the Fay, his fate was sealed.
(OOC: Urias/Dagonet informed me that Dagonet being stuck in the fay was intentional, as he no longer wishes to play him. This was the easiest solution in my mind.)

The King of the Fay laughed aloud at Dina's statement.
"Oh! So you would consider marrying one man because you think the other is beyond you. Well, why not find a way to make the first man love you if it's him you really want? That is what the Fay do." We do not settle for second best."
////////
Arthur smiled at Galahad as he approached then turned to Merlin. He would speak when a few of the others had joined them.
"Did you find him?"
OOC - yes, that is correct, but we wanted to write Dagonet out properly. I didn't expect Merlin to offer to go after him but I felt I should have Arthur express concern because for IC reasons obviously they'd want to after Morgan warned everyone to be careful. I'd have given Merlin a mini adventure if you'd wanted it

Doña offered a sad smile
"Such is the way of us." She said, Arthur called and she curtsied to the King "Thank you Your Grace but I have to go."

"Then I wish you a pleasant night. Come find me if you change your mind."
The king of the fay released her and bowed before striding away to find his queen.

Taliesin came in late, having slept far too long.

Arthur smiled round at his companions, filled with boyish excitement.
"My good friends and companions, I have consulted with Argante, Queen of the Fay. She has told me what each of the Thirteen is and has also provided us with two maps, one for each of the groups, with the suspected locations of the treasures. It is notknown, however, where each of the thirteen is, so we must simply travel to the locations and begin our search when there. However, Her Majesty has advised me that she possesses one of the treasures herself and has agreed to give it over to my possession. Your Majesty, if you would be so kind?"
Queen Argante glided forward, her hips swaying seductively, her smile seductive. She untied her girdle from her waist. It was emerald green and fringed with gold. She leaned close to Arthur and wound it around his waist, knotting it lightly.
"This is the Girdle of Ceridwen and grants immortality to the man or woman who wears it. I give it to you, Arthur Pendragon, to keep you safe upon your quest."

Galahad resisted the urge to ask the queen how she had acquired the Christian relic and remained silent.

Tristram listened carefully to Arthur's words. He wondered if any of the treasures were in Cornwall or Lyonesse.

It seems this quest has claimed its first casualty." The news barely had time to sink in, when Queen Argante presented Arthur with the Girdle of Ceridwen. With such a powerful relic around his waist, Merlin at least felt comforted to know Arthur would not be the next casualty. ((OOC: Sorry about that. I'll take the mini adventure next time haha. And shouldn't the girdle grant invulnerability, not immortality?))

OOC - yes, sorry, I meant invulnerability as in the girdle the lady gives Gawain in Gawain and the Green Knight! I had to do some shifting about of my locations for the items and clearly made a mistake in doing so. Don't think it matters if the quest group think immortality though!

"Poor Dagonet," Arthur sighed. "Morgan told us not to eat."
"I wouldn't say poor Dagonet," Morgan told him. "He made the choice of his own free will. He will be perfectly safe, but he may not be able to leave at a time of his own choosing, and when he does leave, the world may not be as he expected. But thank you for trying, Merlin. And you, Sir Sagramore. I just hope everyone else has the sense to listem to me."
Arthur nodded and plucked at the girdle.
"QUeen Argante said this is the Girdle of Ceridwen but when I saw the vision, the relics were all Christian. I saw this sash around the waist of the Mother of God," he said, his eyes flickering over the Christians in their company. "It was hers, I know it was!"
Morgan raised her eyes skyward and chose not to comment.
"What do you think, Merlin?" Arthur asked. "Are the treasures Christian or pagan?"

Dina bit her lip. She was pagen and beleived that the relics had older powers then the faith that Arthur had chose, but she remained silent.
