"She attacked us, I did only what was necessary for defending me and my companion." Urias states politely.

"You are trespassing. This is my husband's land. You got only what you deserved. State your reason for being here," the woman snarled.

"I was told a Sorcerer was coming to this island to learn how to raise the dead to create an army to conquer the living. I am here to stop them." he replied.

"Indeed? Well, that can't be allowed," she said. "But you must know the great risks you are taking in coming here. Necromancy is the most dangerous and powerful of all the magical arts. How could you hope to stand against such a person?"

"With courage and a pure heart to protect this land and those that call it their home." He replied, "If I am to die standing against this person then at least I know I will have done my best and was incapable of stopping them."

The woman laughed and leaned close, running a finger down his cheek.
"And what makes you think I am going to let you? What do I gain from helping you?"

"You just said so yourself, that this sorcerer can't be allowed to learn the ways of necromancy, as it is the most dangerous of all magical skills." He implies, "Beside from that I guess you get to keep your lives. I would imagine if this sorcerer attempts their hand at necromancy they will not go to the mainland to test it out. They will want to stay close to the source of the knowledge to see if they can actually accomplish this rare feat of magic, and you and your daughter are both very close."

The woman laughed.
"I am not mortal, fool! Nor is my daughter. We are of the fay and our people are not easily slain. We are in no danger from the necromancer. Give me one good reason why I should not kill you now? I could do it so easily."
She laid her bronze knife against his throat.

"I have spoken to one who has spent centuries in limbo with her soul trapped into a body that her husband kept from dying, she has bid me do this task for being dead yet not able to die was worse then even death itself. She wishes for me to protect the land from the monstrosity that this Sorcerer will unleash with her army of the undead."

The green woman smiled wolfishly.
"MY husband has made himself an ally of this sorceress. If you desire to keep your life and oppose this woman, you will have to offer me something the sorceress cannot."

"I have no physical possessions that you would want or that I would part with willingly, I am a humble druid who seeks the safety of the land and its people."

She laughed loudly at that.
"How adorable! I have never met a selfless human before. You will have to do better than that."
She laid her hands on his staff.
"This is the Staff of Taranis, is it not?"

"It is indeed, it was lent to me by spirit of the woman I talked to to help me with my task, it is not mine to give away." Urias says watching her run her hand on the hard wood of the staff.

The fay woman smiled. She caressed the staff as she would a lover.
"If you give it to me, I will tell you how to oppose the wicked sorceress."

"This is a powerful staff, how do I know you would not use it for an ill suited purpose. It would do the land no good for me to stop it from one evil only to unleash another onto it." Urias points out.
