"No forgiveness is needed," Gawain said at once. "No lady as beautiful as yourself could ever give offence, is that not so, Sir Dinadan?"

"I was not offended, my lady." Dinadan assured her. "Why it was I who raised the topic, so the fault is mine own. However I must disagree with you Sir Gawain, no matter how fair a lady may be she is still quite capable of offending people. I assume we are talking of mortals are we not? Well what makes us human is our failings, to be perfect would be inhuman."

Dina pulled a strange face. "I am quite happy to offend and be happy then be inhuman. Much as magic is fascinating I am happy being normal."

"But why do you speak of magic?" Gawain teased. "I don't think either Sir Dinadan or I spoke of magic, only of mortals. In any case, I don't think any immortal being is perfect. The Queen of the Fay was fair to look upon, it's true, but you hear such stories of the Fay, that I don't think them better than mortal women in any way."

"I suppose different is not always better." Dinadan conceded. "Although they certainly seemed to think they were superior."

"They did. But we think ourselves better than the farmers in the field, don't we? It's not so different, I suppose."

Dinadan shrugged. "We are superior in someways, but their knowledge surpasses our own in many fields. No offense intended, Sir Gawain, but were I to take an interest in farming I would not go to you for advice."

Dina laughed "I don't think that anyone would ask the good knight for farming advice."

Gawain grinned.
"I know nothing of farming, it's true. My point, though, is that in our world warriors are deemed superior to farmers, as the Fay consider themselves better than mortal men."

"That is true." Dina mused, then paused. "Do you think we will run into trouble?"

"Haven't we already?" Dinadan joked.

"I apologise, I will go away." Dina retorted with a laugh. She picked another flower and handed it to Dinadan to match the one that she had given to Gawain.

"Ah, thank you, my lady." Dinadan smiled. "If we do run into any trouble this will come in most handy, for I will be able to distract our assailant with it's pleasantness."

Dina chuckled lightly "Just imagine telling the rest that, we defeated the enemy with a flower."

Gawain burst into loud laughter.
"That would be amusing to be sure. Some men don't care for flowers. Perhaps we could throw flowers at them instead of arrows."
