"You would have to tell me." She said, "My judgement may be somewhat rose tinted, but we seem to get along fairly well."

"Good. It occurs to me that a marriage between the two of you would be just the thing to stop your father being an enemy of Camelot. Adn you are a princess. That makes you an excellent match for our High King," Morgause suggested.

I dare say it sounds like you are right there, it is no secret that my father has been less than magnanimous with his friendship, but if I were Arthur, and speaking purely politically, I would not waste the marriage, when I am his ward already." Iseult had never been completely convinced that her being a ward would forever be enough to deter her father any tendencies he may posses, "Needless to say, it would do us great honour though."

"So it would. And it makes sense for Arthur to gain a new ally when although your father does not declare war, he is hardly a friend to Camelot. It also means that your marriage could not be used for your father to gain allies that Arthur would prefer him not to have," Morgause said, a little smug. "A king must always marry for duty but it would be so much the better if he married someone he actually likes, don't you think?"

"Unless Arthur were to marry me to someone of his choosing first." Iseult said, raising her eyebrow to Morgause, "But yes, marrying someone one likes can only make things nicer, AontaĆm. And if my father would not want me marrying your brother?"

"While you are here, your father can do nothing about it," Morgause pointed out. "But maybe I miss my guess here. Have you met Lord Lot's sons?"

"I have told you that I like Arthur," Iseult pointed out in return, "I have not hidden it, nor do I have cause to, but I am not going to shout it from the rooftops," she said trying to keep the edge from her voice, "You and your sister do seem to enjoy flinging contradictions at me. No, I have not met Lord Lot's sons. Are they pleasant men?"

"I have not met Sir Gareth but Galahad is most handsome and chivalrous. He is said to have a certain reputation with the ladies in Lothian," Morgause said with a grin. "IHe was here at the feast. Lady Iseult, I fear I have offended you. It was not my intention to do so. I thought only of a possibility that might benefit us all."

Isuel sighed "I am not offended Lady Morgause and I appreciate that you are trying to do what it is best for everyone, I just do not want to get my hopes up on something so out of my control, if should it happen it will happen and I am glad, but if it if not then the less time dwelt thinking it will the better for me. I am sorry I snapped at you. It must be my wild Irish blood starting to come out again." Iseult apologised, joking at the end to try and make the mood more comfortable again.

"Don't worry, I'm possessed of a fierce temper myself. I shall not think ill of you for the same," Morgause said with a grin. So what do you do when you are not walking around the castle?"

"I am very fond of reading, and I like practicing some archery." Iseult said smiling, "how about you?"

"Oh, I dabble in the arcane arts, I weave, and ride. I've never tried archery, though I do read from time to time. Or rather, I prefer to have someone read to me," Morgause said with a giggle. "Oh, and i do enjoy the song of bards."

"It depends on the song, and the bard," Iseult said with a smile, "I prefer the music without any singing, it detracts from the lovely sounds of the instruments, but I do enjoying riding as well, perhaps we should go sometime?"

"That's a good idea. My sister is my only real female friend and I'm beginning to feel her loss," Morgause sighed. "I wish she had stayed here with us. So yes, I will go riding with you."

"Well, all those knights needed someone to look after them," Iseult said with a smile, "When would you like to go."
