Dinadan shrugged. "She's already hideous on the inside. Surely it would take less effort than changing a kind person."
OOC: no worries, I find it amusing.

"No doubt it would, but it seems unnecessary. She might be pitied if she were seen to be ugly. She will be all the more reviled for her face not matching the wickedness within," Arthur suggested.

"But how will people know how wicked she is?" Dinadan asked.

"We will tell them. The abbess, certainly," Arthur said. "We could hardly foist her presence upon a convent without telling someone of her vile nature."

"Yes, but if we make a example of her it will deter this...foul behavior in other subjects." Dinadan argued. "But perhaps you are right, sending her to a abbey and telling the abbess about her is probably the best choice."

Arthur nodded.
"It will be done. We will leave as soon as Merlin casts the spells I required of him."

Dinadan nodded and wandered off to talk to Tristram.

Merlin smiled at Dinadan's suggestion to magically make the vile queen ugly.
"What you ask for is called a glamour, young knight. It is a relatively simple spell that does not physically alter someone's appearance but rather how they are perceived by others as well as themselves. The eye is easy to fool." he explained. "Though it would be fitting to have her outward beauty mirror her inner-beauty...or lack of beauty, it is the duty of our king to pass judgement."
With that done, Merlin closed his eyes in concentration and began murmuring incantations under his breath. He raised his staff high in the air, the ancient runes etched within the wood glowing with an unnatural light. He attempted to create a magical barrier around the hall and surrounding lands, barring entry to those not in the service of Camelot.

The spell succeeds. Merlin knows at once because he can feel the magical aura that his companions cannot. Arthur, however, trusts to Merlin's powers.
"Thank you, Merlin. Can you send word to Sir Ector somehow?"
OOC - thanks, I should be able to move you guys on tonight, just heading off to uni now!

Dina went over to Rowena to get her ready.
"Rowena, we should find something to cover your sister up with, we are taking her back to your home with us."

Rowena nodded and covered her sister's body with a blanket.
"Thank you, my lady. I won't forget your kindness."

Dina smiled sadly
"Oneday I might be in the same sort of trouble and I would wish the same treatment if I were."

Rowena nodded.
"Of course. I am grateful."
Meanwhile, Merlin sent word to Sir Ector through means unspecified, Gawain flogged and gelded the male prisoners with every sign of enjoyment in doing so, and soon enough they all sent out for Rowena's home.

"What way do we need to go?" Dina asked Rowena once they had set off.

The girl indicated north, which was fortunate since that was the direction they needed to go in anyway.
"It's only a day's ride. Except the day is half gone now so we'll have to travel through the night or else rest in a few hours."
