Dina frowned.
"Your father will be worried, but I will see with Arthur, there is no difference in a day." She replied. "It is better for the horses if we rest."

"Yes. And for us too. Your poor king was wounded, and some of the men as well." Rowena said. "I don't want them hurt more."

Dina nodded then nudged her horse into a trot so that they now rode next to Arthur. She glanced over and studied him silently for a moment
"Sire?" She asked

He turned his head and looked to her. The dead girl's corpse lay across his saddle, draped in a blanket.
"Yes, Dina?"

"Rowena said that the farm is a days ride, we are all tired and some are still hurt even you. We need to stop a few hours and rest." Dina said to him "I know that we need to press on but a few hours rest will help."

Arthur nodded.
"Yes, that's a good idea."
Though Merlin had done him a great deal of good, he was definitely tired.

Dina gave him a small smile.
"For being such a pain I will take first watch." She said.

"Your kindness does you credit," Arthur said. "Keep your bow close by you. There could be soldiers about."

"Naturally." Dina replied smoothly. "And I am sure that if the need arises all I would need to do is yell and you would all jump up to help."

"Oh yes. Of course. But you will have to keep an eye on the prisoners too. There's several of them and you will be the only one of us awake. Merlin's spell on those others isn't going to work forever. They could turn on us."

"Then we will have to tie them all up together. If they are bound securely they will be fine for a little while." Dina replied. "Do not worry Arthur, if any try to escape I have always been better with bow then with steel."

"Yes, we'll do that," Arthur agreed. "We'll do that before we eat so we know they'll be secure while we sleep."
He gazed up ahead.
"I'm sure we'll be able to stop not far ahead. There's some trees that we could tie our prisoners to."

"thank you for listening to me." Dina said.
She followed him to the trees and watched as the Saxons were bound and the rest of the company fell asleep then she went to the fire that had been lit and warmed herself.

After a while Gawain walked up and pulled out his sword. He began to sharpen it in long, rhythmic strokes.
"I don't feel like sleeping," he said. "And I thought you could use the company."

Dina watched him as he sharpened with a smile.
"Thank you Sir." She said softly. "And thank you for earlier. I would never have been able to get the Queen if it wasnt for you."
