"No. I'm not implying they would hide it from you." Galahad replied. "But like I said, you do have connections there."

"Yes. I think it highly unlikely any artifact is there," Morgan said. "A pity, but there it is. I think we should confine our search to Cornwall, for now."

"Was there a artifact at Glastonbury though?" Galahad asked. "I'm not saying it is still there. It may have been appropriate by certain individuals with infirm morals."

"Indeed it might, though I have no knowledge of such a thing. So I would suggest not. But we could try to find out if you think it a possibility," Morgan replied.

"I think we should concentrate on Cornwall for now. If there is an arifact in Glastonbury, I doubt it is going anywhere if it has not been taken already, and we have enough to be getting on with." Lancelot said, with a lazy shrug.

"Yes, I think so too. Especially since we are already here. But where shall we look first?"

"The abbot suggested we search Saint Michael's mount, lands end, and the Lizard." Galahad replied, giving up his inquisition. "The hermit you seek lives in a cell just outside the monastery. Perhaps he can tell you more."

"Then let's go and visit him first," Morgaine said brightly. "Hermits are often very wise, Sir Galahad. I am sure he can tell us something."

"I don't see how being a hermit makes you wise. But if you think it necessary I will come along." Galahad replied, unenthusiastically.

Morgan eyed Galahad with surprise. She had thought he would be happy to vsit a Christiany holy man.
"I believe the purpose of a hermit is the denial of all things of the flesh - they ate only as much as they require to exist - and spend their waking hours in prayer and reflection. I believe that the aim is the same, regardless of faith. A purification of the body that will lead to great wisdom and divine favour. I once heard of a Christian hermit who scourged his flesh with a leather strap but I've no notion if that made him either wiser or holier. It seems such a sad and lonely life but it is not for me to judge a man who wishes to enter that life. If we do not try, we shall never know if he has anything to tell us."

"I know what a hermit is, thank you." Galahad replied.

Morgan sighed.
"Let us put this animosity behind us, I beg you. I merely meant to explain why I believe hermits to be considered wise men."

"Consulting with a holy man will not bring us any closer to finding the treasures." Galahad sighed. "It is only through our own purity that we will succeed. Why shouldn't I show animosity towards you, everything you have done has only set us back further from finding the treasures."

"How do you mean"? Morgan asked, trying to reign in her temper. "I very much wish to find the treasures."
