Hallewes gave Ironside a dirty look ad he left her with the two.

"We were just talking" Dina said with a smile and a shrug. "Discussing the value if family most ironically!"

Dinadan shook his head. "You know how I feel about such matters. I already have one liege, why should I seek out another?" Tristram nodded in understanding. He continued to study the ladies in the hall with some appreciation.

"My lady, I am honored to make your acquaintance. It pleases me to meet my fellow Christians at the court. It seems as if there are far to few of us." Galahad replied warmly, wondering why Lancelot had smirked at him. Perhaps he had underestimated his brother's charm, Elaine seemed infatuated with him. "I am surprised that my brother would speak well of me. We usually do not see eye to eye." Galahad glanced at Lancelot wondering what his brother was trying to do. Was he flaunting the fact that a Christian Lady was attracted to him? Galahad would not put such a gesture past his brother, but it did seem low, even for Lancelot. "Oh, that is so sad!" Elaine cried. "I would hate not to be friends with my brothers. But why do you two not get along? I think you are both absolutely charming."

Ironside had to stifle a laugh as Morgause continued to attempt gossiping with Hallewes. It had been worth the trip to simply see his lady attempt to awkwardly interact with other women. As the topic of whether King Lot would make a good bedmate came up and the very man they were speaking of made his way over, the Red Knight excused himself. Taking up a large tankard of ale, he made his way over to a secluded corner and looked around for someone worth his time. He had not the patience for the blather of child knights or the prattle of a betrothed woman speaking about her future husband, especially when he meant to bed her. OOC - who is worth Ironsides' time? A knight?

Not wishing to intrude on potential bonding between Arthur and Mordred, Merlin slid his chair back and stood up. He had spotted Viviane having what appeared to be an unpleasant discussion with King Uriens and could not resist an opportunity to speak with the famed Lady of the Lake. "If you all will excuse me, this old man needs to stretch his legs a bit." he said, excusing himself and making his way over to the druidess. "It appears some men are not wise enough to act with decency when a living legend is in their presence." Merlin greeted the Ruler of Avalon, donning a broad smile and leaning slightly on his aged rowen-wood staff. "Yes, but that is the way of kings," Viviane sighed. "They have to be hard men making hard decisions. I do not hold it against them. They are what their life makes them. And how are you, Merlin? You have done well with our young king."

Lancelot smiled, "Galahad is most unfair to me, I fear, I have nothing but praise for so much in his life, his dedication to his faith, whilst not shared by me is very admirable in its zeal and he is a good a warrior as I have known. A friendly rivalry between brothers only serves to push us to bettering one another. Galahad is my brother, and I know despite what we say, we love one another dearly. I would give my life in an instant it it would save his.". He explained with a graceful smile to Elaine, "but seeing as you two share a faith, perhaps Galahad would accompany you to the chapel in my stead?" He suggested, as if the idea had just come to him.

She looked from one to the other.
"I would be happy with that, if Sir Galahad consents," Elaine said at once. "I would not wish to intrude, but I would welcome Sir Galahad's escort."

Galahad looked surprised for a moment at Lancelot's response but supposed that most of what he had said was true enough. Despite their differences he did not doubt that he would sacrifice himself were it to save Lancelot. "You would not be intruding at all, my lady. I would be delighted to accompany you to the chapel." Galahad replied.

Dinadan sat quietly sipping his mead as his friend observed the ladies of the court.

"Your kindness is much appreciated," she said, blithely unaware that Lancelot had just fobbed her off on his brother. "But it would be even better if you both came together."

Now it was Galahad's turn to smirk at his brother. "Why lady Elaine makes a fair point, brother. Surely you would not ignore the desire of so fair a lady. Why that would be most unchivalrous of you!"

Lancelot looked dangerously at his brother, "I am surprised you want a heathen like me there, Galahad, will I not taint the ceremony?" Lancelot asked, schooling himself again, "And besides, one of us should stay with mother, in case someone dares to disagree with her again," He went on, referencing Galahad's earlier sentiment somewhat sarcastically, feeling the need to get back on top of the situation.

OOC: Honestly I was just trying to start Ironside and Merlin off fresh so I wouldnt' have to respond to all 10 pages I missed. He'll talk to anyone but I guess he'd prefer a more seasoned knight or another woman.

Elaine looked from one to the other.
"I will be happy with the escort of either of you," she said. "I am sure your lady mother can protect herself."
