Lot looked at her, a hint of amusement in his expression. "I trust you will find that out soon enough. "

"Perhaps I will. But do you wear it all the time?" She asked. "Or only to feasts and things?"

"I never dress for the occasion.", Lot grumbled. "I wear what I want to wear. No formalities dictate what I can put on." Softer, he continued. " I prefer to use my wolfskin if I want to impress someone."

"Oh. And who did you want to impress today? Arthur? Or me?"
Morgause leaned close to her betrothed and touched his arm.

"Could it ever be one or the other?" His hand lightly touched hers. It was less rough than one would have expected, but clearly that of a man who used it to work a lot.

"Well, it might be. You don't strike me as the kind of man who wants to impress anybody. Surely only Arthur or myself are the only people you have cause to impress?"

" You and your half-brother talk. If I impress you, I will impress him." He stated. "Did I impress you, Morgause?"

"You did," she said. "Though you make me nervous too. But that's not necessarily a bad thing."
She smiled a sultry smile and leaned in close.
"Sometimes I like that in a man."

"Good." He looked her deep in the eyes. "What made you talk to a sorceress?"

Morgause smiled more deeply.
"Why not? I have some powers of sorcery myself. Did you not know that?"

Elaine giggled. "So we will all go together! Wonderful. I look forward to it already! I like the singing part of church." Galahad looked at her puzzled. "Do you mean the choir, my lady?" he asked.

He was astonished. "You- a sorceress? I could not believe it. Are your powers great?" He let himself get lost in her eyes, but not too much. Lot was not one to lose control.

"Yes, but I like it when the rest of us get to sing as well. I adore singing. It's my favourite thing," Elaine said happily. "And singing to the glory of God is better than singing just to sing."

"Not as great as my sister's and certainly not Merlin," she said. "But I know some spells and enchantments. I thought you would have been told that."

Galahad nodded. "Indeed it is, my lady. It seems to me that my brother could learn much from you." Galahad glanced around the room and corrected himself. "Actually, my brother is not the only one who could learn from you, many of these knights would be well served to follow your example, my lady."

Elaine giggled again.
"You're too good to me. I am just a girl who likes the simple things in life. My father, Lord Bernard, is a most devout Christian. But knights are for fighting. I suppose most knights would rather go questing or train in the yard than do honour to God. I don't think ill of them for it, but I do wish that all the kingdom was Christian. It frightens me that there are still so many pagan rituals. My father says they used to sacrifice men to their false gods."
