Iseult listened to what Arthur had to say, and nodded with him, she had not meant that they should take his leg off, but just that dead flesh around the wound should need to go, but didn't comment, "Even if this helps, he is still in a bad way, and will at least be very weak for a while." She said, not mentioning that he could still die, or that he may never properly get over it.
She looked over to where Sir Ector's wife was setting things up, and then over to where Mistress Lucia was before looking back to Arthur with slightly worried eyes, "Should I leave it to the healer to see to Sir Alexander, or should i do it?" She asked, not wanting to encroach on any more of the old ladies territory, she seemed angry enough as it was.

"You do it," Arthur said. "I can handle Mistress Lucia. Here, get my foster mother to help you. Sir Ector and I will get Mistress Lucia away. She'll be no bother, I promise. Poor old thing, Sir Ector told me they kept her on so it wouldn't hurt her feelings."

Everything connected to Arthur was kept not hurt their feelings, she could hardly say she approved, a servant was one things, someone with people's lives in their hands was another.
"I shall do my best for him, Sire." She said, with a smile, and moved to the side of the bed where Sir Ector's wife had laid the things out. She looked to see if Sir Alexander would be able to hear her if she spoke to him, if he were conscious in anyway.

Alexander was conscious but barely, and his eyes were closed. He had not reacted to the discussion so it seemed that he either kept drifting in and out of consciousness or else he only paid attention to someone who spoke directly to him.
Meanwhile, Arthur escorted Mistress Lucia from the room. Sir Ector paused behind them to say to Iseult "Please send word if there is a change, my dear. My wife can provide you with anything you need."

"Thank you, sir, I shall try my best for your son," She confirmed and looked round at Alexander again and then glanced at his mother, not sure how she would react to her eldest being cared for by a sixteen year old girl.
She touched Alexander's arm lightly as she looked at the wound and spoke in a quiet voice. She wanted him to be able to hear her if she were awake, but also did not want to wake him, rest was very important. "Alexander, my name is Iseult, I am going to be taking care of you for a while, I am sorry if this stings a bit, but it needs to be done," she assured him in a soft voice and started to remove the bandaging that was still on his wound.

He opened his eyes and stared at her.
"Pretty accent," he said, almost gasping the words. "Can't hurt more than it does."
As Iseult removed the rest of the bandages, she saw that the infection had started to spread to the edges of the wound. It would have to be dealt with swiftly.

When Dina got the messenger inside, the man fell to his knees on the floor, beaten down by exhaustion. Fortunately, Gawain was there and he slammed down his tankard and ran up to them.
"Who is this?"
"Messenger. Cameliard."
The man sounded like he could barely breath.
"Water!" Gawain yelled out across the hall, then looked to Dina. "Has he said anything more, my dear?"

Galahad, who had simply sat with his armor as everyone fussed over the foolish child rose swiftly, hurrying over with his barely drunk cup of water, offering it to the messenger.

The man nodded his thanks and drank deep in hurried mouthfuls. He looked like he was close to fainting.

"King Leodegrance and his daughters tried to escape, but were caught and are prisoners." Dina said quickly.

"Gods help us," Gawain swore, reaching for the sword that wasn't there.
He looked over at Galahad.
"Could you find the king? He needs to know about this. We'll have to find out where the prisoners are now. No sense in saving Cameliard if its lord and his family are in enemy hands."

Dina's eyes were wide and fearful as she glanced up to Gawain.
"How can we save them?" She asked quietly

He found Arthur coming out of a bedchamber. The young king looked worried.
"Galahad," he cried. "Are you looking for somebody? Has dinner been served yet?"

"Your highness, a messenger has just arrived." Galahad spoke quickly, breathing heavily. "King Lodegreance and his daughters have been captured by the Saxons!"
