"It was good enough." Dina answered. "Nothing special."
She gave him a small smile. "Are you glad to be back here Sir?"

"Not exactly. I would have preferred to stay on the quest. I'm no courtier, as my kin could tell you. But here we are. I only hope that war awaits us."

Dina gave a delicate shudder.
"War is not good Sir." She said softly. "I would hate for the people I care about to be harmed as they would in war."

"That's because you are a woman and have a soft heart," Gawain said. "That is proper. But I am a warrior. War is my business. Peace offers me nothing. I need to make a name for myself."

Dina gave a giggle and nudged his leg with her foot.
"I think I proved myself in the fights that we had." She replied, teasing. "You have already started to make a name for yourself. The most fearsome man against wolves."

"Ah yes, the wolves. But still, it's not the same as fighting a war, or even a dragon. You did prove yourself, certainly, but for myself, I would like to do more."

"You will." Dina said, laying her head on her knees. "I'd imagine when we set off again you will have the chance one day."

Dina lifted her head and gave a smile.
"Of course I am." She replied but she didnt sound too sure. "Are you?"

"Of course I am. I never change," he told her with a cocky grin. "But you seemed less happy than usual. Do you know how beautiful you are when you smile?"

Dina blushed and looked away.
"It is nothing, just a problem that I am getting over." She managed a small smile.

"Oh, then you don't need me to slay the dragon that has been persecuting you?" Gawain asked, seeking refuge in humour, as he so often did.

Dina had to laugh.
"No, Im afraid I have to slay this little dragon on my own." She said, then shrugged again. "It will be fine... its nothing serious."

eE grinned, hair falling halfway across his face as he did so. He pushed it back again with one hand.
"Let's hope that is true. You can always find me later if you change your mind. But if it's just a little dragon, a small dagger should be enough to slay the creature. Then maybe a bard will write a song about you. Lady Dina the Dragon-Slayer."
He winked at her.

Dina couldnt help herself and laughed lightly
"I think that my father would have a fit if he heard anyone say that near him."
