"Ah yes. Good old King Pellinore."
But Gawain's tone was humorous, indicating that he didn't always think of Pellinore with the respect a king deserved.
"Perhaps I'll write the song myself."

Dina nudged him again with her foot at his tone, but she smiled.
"You should sing it too, and see his reaction."

He pressed his foot against hers with a smile.
"Perhaps, but I'm no great singer. I sing only when I'm drunk. I doubt you'd care to hear it. I'd embarrass us both."

Dina chuckled.
"You wouldnt embarrass me Sir. I dont think that you have that in you."

"Maybe not intentionally, but I promise you wouldn't like my singing. Unless you were drunk too, and that wouldn't be very ladylike, would it?"

Dina wrinkled her nose.
"i was drunk once, when I snuck some ale and wine out of one of my fathers feasts when I was younger... It has always put me off ever trying it again." She confessed. "I never wish to be drunk again."

"Then you'll have to forgo my singing," Gawain said with a laugh. "You won't miss much. But perhaps you can sing for me instead?"

She grinned back. "I do not wish to break the windows." She said. "It was something that my brother used to say was happening when I sang."

He laughed softly at that.
"Then neither of us shall sing. Fair enough. Dina, I would like to speak to you after tomorrow's council meeting, if I may."

"You may talk to me whenever you like Sir." Dina replied with a smile. "You should know that by now. I never mind talking to you."

"I do know that," he said. "But I think we should see what happens at the meeting before I say what I would like to say."

She gave him a strange look.
"Now you have me mystified Sir." She told him. "Should I be worried."

He flashed his teeth at her.
"Hardly. I'd be mortally offended if you were. No, don't wory, I intend nothing that is not to your benefit>"

Dina drew her knees up again and rested her chin on them.
"Mortally offended? That sounds serious."

"Perhaps. Perhaps not. But you know full well how I like to tease," he said. "Think nothing of it. At least not yet."
