"You know what," Lancelot said, and pushed galahad squarely in the chest back into the wall of the cell, and walked back in the direction of the antichamber, "You can fucking rot in here," he said, and walked back to Seren, "Galahad's dead, shame, let's lock up before we go."

Seren looked confused.
"What? But the man you killed seemed to think he lives. Are you sure?
She looked hesitantly down the dark corridor.
"Did you check all the cells?"

"Must have been from his wounds... I saw him Seren." Lancelot said and held his hand out for the keys, "I'm sorry."

"I hope you said a prayer over him," Seren whispered.
But then Father Eadmund approached them.
"Excuse me, sir and madam. You have my thanks, whoever you are."

"It's not your thanks I am after." he said, looking past him for his brother, with an very dark look, wondering if it was actually too late to go back and kill him, "Who are you, anyway?"

"Eadmund of Mercia. I was chaplain to Vortimer and his late mother, until I refused the king's demand to wed him to the Lady Guinevere of Cameliard," the priest sighed. "Now there's gratitude for you. You are kin to my companion in captivity then?"

"Unfortunately so," Lancelot said, and then looked at the priest, "Brave of you to refuse your King. Don't worry, bravery is rewarded with Arthur, we can take you with us, if you like." He went on and then stuck out a hand to the man and introduced them, "Sir Lancelot du Lac, and this is Lady Seren, a companion of mine."

"I'm no a lady," Seren murmured. "But I thank you for the courtesy, Sir Lancelot."
Father Eadmund nodded.
"I am grateful to you both. I would very much like to come with you. It's that or go home to Mercia and I have not been home these many years."
He looked behind to see if Galahad was coming.

"You are a lady to me, Seren." Lancelot said with a fond smile, before looking back to the Father, "Well, with us, or to Mercia, we need to get you out of here."

"I am with you," he said. "But we must wait for Sir Galahad to join us."

"But he can rescue himself, did you forget?" Lancelot said, but made no attempt to move on without him.

Father Eadmund raised an eyebrow.
"He had my assistance in a few small ways."

"I am sure he did. Thank you for helping my brother, Father." Lancelot said with a smile.

Galahad had walked up to the group as Father Eadmund spoke. "Yes, you did assist me, Father. Much more so than my brother. Come, we must rescue the princesses." He did not stop to see if they were following him, nor did he acknowledge Seren, seemingly embarrassed by his earlier Gaffe.
(OOC: Sorry about that. I wanted to get a post in before I went out for a few hours and I made the assumption that Seren had followed Lancelot down the hall.)

Lancelot halted his brother by grabbing his shoulder trying to pulling him back, "you've proven what a capable leader you are, you're not leading anyone anywhere for a long while, we don't all want to end up like poor Sir Sangramore.
