The druid Telio came to Mark's quarters shortly after their arrival. He didn't even give the king time to rest.

Mark received him with annoyance, but remembering Teilo's assistance maintained a mask of courtesy.
"Teilo, welcome. I must ask why you are here so soon after our return."

Telio smiled politely.
"I wish to know what has become of the Thirteen."

Mark looked puzzled. The Thirteen?
"I'm not sure I understand your question Teilo. The Thirteen?"

OOC - sorry I made a typo! That wasn't quite what I meant to say but let's run with it!
Telio blinked.
"My apologies, Lord. I spoke of the Thirteen Treasures. But I would like to know what you have done with the sword."

"It is in a very safe place, under lock and key and guarded by some of my best men." replied Mark.

"Why so? I should still like to see it," Telio said firmly.

"Because it is a valuable treasure." said Mark, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
He paused. "Why do you want to see it?"

"It is one of the Thirteen, one of the most revered objects in Britain. Of course I would wish to see it. And I helped you find it, lord. Am I not entitled to handle it?"

Mark studied him for a minute. What he said was true he thought.
He inclined his head in acceptance.
"Very well, but I shall accompany you."

"As you wish, lord. I thought that you would have sought to keep the sword with you after it took so long to find it. Or are you merely keeping it safe for the High King?"

"It needs to be kept safe." said Mark. "I have no use for it at the moment and Arthur is not here."
He rose. "Come." he said as he took Teilo to where the sword was kept.

Telio followed and waited for Mark to produce the sword. His face was light with fervour, in the way that Mark had seen some men look upon the Holy Cross, or (for those who could read Latin) the Bible.

Mark waved the guard aside, produced a set of keys and unlocked the heavy iron door of the small ante-chamber, close to his private quarters. He closed the door behind him. Inside was a iron box which was fastened to the floor. Mark unlocked this and the sword lay in soft woollen wrappings.

OOC- sorry to be slow about this, I thought my post had gone through but then my internet cut off!
Teliio picked up the sword and cradled it as gently as a baby.
"There is magic in this blade," he said. "I can feel it. It seems so fresh and new for something so old but I feel that it is genuine. I would know if it were not truly one of the #thirteen."
