The man cursed in Anglo-Saxon. He retreated from Dina but his expression showed he wasn't in the mood for giving up.

Arthur nodded as Dinadan spoke.
"Go then and hurry. Do nothing that endangers the Lady Dina."

Dina picked up another arrow warily. She never thought that she would be using them like this. "Let me go." She said to him softly.

"Get off my lady's land," he demanded. "You don't belong here. Bloody Celts."

Dina picked up a few more arrows, not wanting to waste them and scarpered from the man. She cursed the loss of the rest of her arrows in her head.

But Dina was right out of luck. As she headed into a small copse, she ran right into the path of a group of warriors, all in mail. A few had no helms and she could see that they had the fair hair of Saxons. One of them said something in his own tongue and galloped his horse in her direction.

Dina stopped dead and seemed to swear in her head, she turned on her heel and ran as fast as she could. She knew that she had no way of getting away from them but didnt want to give up easily.
Her lack of arrows played in the forefront of her mind

As Dina knew full well, one person on foot could not easily escape mounted men. Especially as the surrounding area was open ground. There was nowhere for her to hide. She heard the men coming after her. They shouted at her in her their own tongue. She didn't recognise the words, it being so dissimilar to her own. But she could tell they were angry. The sounds of their pursuit grew louder.

Dina stopped suddenly, knowing it was hopeless and whipped her bow from her back. Her few remaining arrows she was determined to use.
She had about 6 left, one she held back and the rest she shot in quick succession.

Two of Dina's arrows missed, two wounded the riders and disrupted them for a moment before they snapped the arrows off and continued pursit, and one man fell dead. She clearly needed more help if she was to do more.

Dina fled again, at least she had got rid of a few. Her one remaining arrow she could use as a weapon hand to hand

Fortunately for Dina she was not so far away that Dinadan wouldn't be able to spot her and report to Arthur, but though she tried to head back in what she thought was the right direction, it proved to be wrong. She tripped and fell over an exposed root of a single tree standing nearby.

Dina let a small scream burst as she tripped. She scrambled up and cast a look to where the men were.

They were almost upon her. She knew she wouldn't have time to run. There were perhaps four of them close by, with a few more further away.
"You little slut. I'll teach you to resist."
It was the man she'd run into first.
"Now behave or I'll have my way with you before I take you back to the queen."

Dina spat at him.
"Try it." She challenged. "All you had to do was let me report back to my friends and you wouldnt have had to have gone through this." She sounded more confident then she felt.

"The queen takes a dim view of intruders," he snarled. "And I will have you if you don't shut the hell up. You've no business here."
