"Then let me leave." Dina replied angrily, stating the obvious.

The man dismounted and backhanded her across the face.
"I will not. You and your friends will go before the queen and answer for your crimes."

Dina seemed shocked that he had touched her and felt her cheek lightly, aware that it had flared bright red as soon as he had hit her
She kicked him hard in reply.

The man yelped and slapped her again. Two other men had dismounted as well and seized her arms. One of them squeezed her breast through her clothing.
"Come on, let's have her," he said nastily.

Dina tried to twist herself out of their grip and stamped her feet aiming for theirs.

Dinadan rode forward slowly, not wanting to draw attention to himself. He rode until he could make out the shapes a little more clearly, before stopping and staring at the shapes. Sending another member of the party out might be interpreted as hostile and Dinadan was not someone who enjoyed avoidable conflict.
(Observation, attempt to figure out what is going on without being enough to close to draw attention to Dinadan's presence)

Some distance away, Arthur and the others knew something was wrong. "Merlin, would you send Archimedes to go look please?" Arthur asked. "He will surely pass unnoticed." ((OOC: Merlin didn't bring Archimedes on the quest)) After Dinadan ran off to investigate, Merlin handed the reigns of his horse to Gawain and raised his staff above his head. He whispered an incantation, intent on changing his form from that of an old man to that of a mighty eagle. A bird of prey would be much less conspicuous than the armored knight. They are far enough away that Dinadan struggles to see what is happening but he manages to make out some kind of scuffle in the direction Dina went in. He guesses that the men are hostile and that Dina is in danger.
Merlin's spell succeeds and his staff falls to the ground as his hands lose their grip and transform him into an eagle. He flies up, past Dinadan, until he sees Dina grappling with the men, who now seem to be arguing about whether they should rape her. One of the men seems to favour chasing down her companions instead, from the way he points frantically in the direction of Arthur and the others, and jabbers in the Saxon tongue.
Another man spots Merlin in his eagle for, and, none of them possessing bows, seizes a large stone and throws it at the eagle. It misses.
Merlin may attempt to cast a spell but the difficulty level will be slightly higher in animal form.
Dinadan may either choose to ride forward and attack, attempt to otherwise to draw attention fron Dina to himself, or report back to Arthur.
OOC - no worries, it was just the first thing I thought of to help things move forward

Merlin circles around, spots the largest of the Saxons, and attempts to take control of the man's mind. An attack from one of their own allies might cause enough confusion among the Saxons to allow Dina to escape or Dinadan to intervene.

It is not easy to control a man's mind in eagle form, but Merlin manages. The big Saxon was the one who had spotted the eagle. He looks up, blankly, for a moment, blinks and throws himself at the men holding Dina. His fists are hard and the men are not expecting it. They release Dina, giving her the chance to get to her feet and try to flee. They draw their blades and rush at the man Merlin controls. He draws his own blade and they fight.

Dina was still for a moment in shock then legged it. As she ran she glanced up at the eagle, then concentrated again on running.

With the men continuing to fight, Dina is able to run in the direction of Dinadan, so he can help her, though her horse will still need to be found. The Saxons were now engaged in a full-scale fight, some of them not even knowing who to side with. They had forgotten all about their prisoner.

Merlin perched on a nearby tree branch to spectate on the melee developing below him and ensure that none of the Saxons broke off to go after Dina.

None did. Soon there was blood on the ground as two of the Saxons lay dead. The others simply mounted their horses and rode away, leaving the bodies to bleed out onto the grass. They rode in the opposite direction of the knights and their companions.

When Merlin was sure the Saxons were all fled or dead, he took flight from his perch and made his way back to Arthur. After having some difficulty remembering the proper incantation, he changed back into his human form, picked up his staff, and mounted his steed as if nothing out of the ordinary had occurred.
