Dinadan grinned. "What makes you so certain it's not the other way around my friend?" he asked. "Perhaps the women are sampling you."

"They are, but even better when they are not your own. Do you not find?" Dina said with another dimply grin.

"Oh of course, having your own secrets shared is never good. Not that I would ever betray others confidence, but I like hearing them." Iseult said grinning back, "Will you be staying in the city long?"

Post by Sir Lamorak / Diwrnach on Oct 29, 2011 23:35:43 GMT
Diwrnach wove his way slowly through the crowd listening to bits of conversations. How silly these courtiers were with their ridiculous and insignificant conversations. He had no use for idle talk. If he wanted a women he would just take one when the urge arose. Then when he was done with her he would gut her and bathe in her blood. It was amazing how much blood a body possessed and he had ways of draining every drop.
He eyed the occupants of the hall. Those in fine clothing made him nauseous, he wore his drab clothing for all occasions. He had no need for finery. At least their were a few who felt the same he saw. Merlin chief among them.

Sir Lamorak, the Prince of Listeneise, entered the hall in a fine black doublet with a royal blue cape over his one shoulder. He would have prefered to enter unannounced though the herald had other plans. He bowed to King Arthur then moved to the side grabbing a goblet from a passing serving girl. He thanked her with a warm smile.

"Yes. So, do you think we should ask Arthur to keep it strictly pagan?" Morgan asked. "I don't wish to offend the Christians but...I don't consider their rituals binding in the least."
/////////////
"Would you introduce me to him?" Elaine asked. "I would like that very much. "If it's not an imposition."

Dina laughed lightly.
"I live her full time Isault!" She said. "I begged that Listeneise was too boring and here was much more fun and that I would behave. It seemed to work."
She gave a glance to the hall and spotted her brother Lamorak. Dina gave a smile and waved discreetly to him.

"I can think of no good reason to include any of their rites in our wedding." Uriens replied, "The idea offends me."

Lancelot smiled brightly that time, and stood, "It would be an honour my lady." He said and held out his arm for her to hold of she wanted.

"Then it is really is a wonder than I have not met you before. I suppose it is not surprising in a big place like this. " Iseult said, feeling embarrassed but trying not to show it.

Dinadan grinned. "What makes you so certain it's not the other way around my friend?" he asked. "Perhaps the women are sampling you." Tristram lifted his shoulders with a gesture of mock resignation. "So be it my friend. They can do all the work then." He laughed and refilled his cup.

"We have proberly met in passing. Or seen each other in the corridors." Dina said just as easily. "It is easy to be lost in thought here, do you not find?"

"Thank you. I wish you the same also," Arthur said. He was sizing up the brother he didn't really know, trying to make out Mordred. "Will you be attending either the fires or the service at the chapel?" Mordred shrugs, "If I am forced to make a choice it would be one of the fires brother. I have traveled to Rome itself and still these christian beliefs do nothing for me."

Dinadan grinned, downing the contents of his cup in a single gulp. He reached over and began to refill it as he spoke to Tristram. "Yet that would be most unchivalrous of you, would it not? What manner of knave makes a lady work?"

"A while now. I cannot remember how long exactly. I have found that I enjoy the time in the libary. It is quiet there and easy to get lost in." Dina said. "I also spend alot of time playing games and such, and hunting so it is not strange that we do not know each other well."

"Then speak to Arthur," Morgan urged. "But not tonight. Let my brother enjoy the festivities first."
//////
Elaine rose and put her small hand on Lancelot's arm. She was flushed pink with excitement at being close to her hero.
"Oh, you really are very kind, sir! I thought...I never dared hope you would be this kind!"
/////////
"I see. I am to go to the beginning of the rites at the fire then I will join the prayers at the chapel," Arthur explained. "For myself, I favour the ways of the Christians but I cannot deny the power of the old ways. But what did you make of Rome?"
