"That is quite brave of her." Dinadan replied.

"Yes. The girl has courage, especially to go off with Sir Gawain and his little group. But at least there is another girl with them. I am not so sure I would have Seren's courage if I had experienced the same at her age," the druidess sighed.

"Perhaps she wanted to ensure the princesses do not share her fate." Dinadan suggested. "That said, regardless of what her intentions are, she is clearly very brave."

"I had the same thought about the princesses. A noble goal, of course. We strive to aid those in need. Is there anything else we can do for the King at present?"

"No, I do not believe there is. I will let you know when we are in need of the illusion." Dinadan told her.

"Thank you. Modron bless you," she said.

Dinadan wasn't sure who Modron was, so he gave what he hoped was a respectful nod before turning and riding back to Arthur.

Arthur grinned when he saw him. He was all boysing charm and enthusiasm.
"Did you talk to the druids then?"

"Yes, they told me that they can make our army appear double it's true size for two or three hours." Dinadan replied, sounding slightly troubled.

"Oh, well, that's good, isn't it?"
Arthur grinned.
"There's been no word for our allies,. They might be able to help us fortify the borders against Vortimer and his allies, but I don't think they can get here in time to lift the siege. But...you don't sound very happy, Dinadan. That was good news, not bad!"

"You are correct, your grace. That news is good. but it wasn't the only thing I learnt." Dinadan replied.

"What else did you learn?" Arthur asked, clearly interested.

"It has to do with one of your knights, your grace." Dinadan replied. "I'm not sure you'll want to hear it."

"Oh. But I think you'd best tell me anyway," Arthur replied.

"Your grace, I swore not to spread this information." Dinadan said, not wanting to break his oath minutes after making it, but also feeling that the King was within his rights to know what his knight had done. "I will tell you what it is that I learnt, but I'd appreciate it if you kept it to yourself."
