"I am a mere echo of the beauty you contain within you." Uriens replied, and moved close to her, "Yes I am ready." He took her hand, and kissed it.

She smiled and took his hand.
"Gods above, hear us. I am Morgan, daughter of Gorlois the duke of Cornwall. This man is Uriens, King of Gore. We call upon you to witness our union of handfasting and vow to be true to one another from this day until a year hence. After that time we may be married or parted as we prefer."
She looked to Uriens.
"Do you want to say anything?"

Uriens smiled at her, "I swear to protect you from all harm from any above or below. I swear to honor you as the woman you are, and the wife I long you to be. I swear to listen to the words you say with the same respect you will give mine." Then he leaned in, and kissed her again, his handing squeezing hers in his.

She kissed him back for a moment then drew back and said "We shall light the fire and then it is done."
She pointed at a small brazier she had made earlier and it burst into flame. Once it was going, Morgan looked back at Uriens.
"Well, my lord, a union needs blessing in other ways too. I rather thought we might make use of this flat rock."
She indicated the flat rock that looked like an altar.

Uriens walked toward the rock, and looked at her, "This seems perfectly acceptable."

She smiled and pulled him towards it.
"Then let us celebrate our union."

Uriens' strong arms wrap around her, and carry her toward the rock. He sits down, pulling her atop of him, and brushes her hair back to kiss her soundly.
