Dina grinned and her dimple showed.
"That was a polite way of saying that you can kill a man when you need to isnt it Taliesin of the Seven Strings."

"I ne'er said anything of the sort, milady Dina," Taliesin said with a knowing smile.

"It is not what you said, but how you say it." She replied cheekily. "I'd imagined from the stories of you that you were older, like the bards back in Listeneise." Dina said conversationally.

"The Goddess gifted me with an understanding of music and the ability to learn quickly. I am not one to squander such gifts." Taliesin said, sipping his ale and looking up as a group of men began to play a dancing tune.

Dindrane gave a small smile. "that is good to know, for she does not give the gifts to many and those she does are truly blessed."

A smile made its way onto his face as Taliesin drained his tankard and put it back on his belt hook, "However, the Goddess cursed me with two left feet. If you would like to dance, I will try not to step on your toes too much," He said, looking at her and offering his hand.

Dina beamed at him and took his hand. "I would be honoured." She said. "You have seen what I am like, and that is just skipping, so please excuse me if I trip."

"And if I trip, please don't try to look up my kilt." Taliesin said with laughter in his voice as he led her out to dance.

"Me?" Dina asked in innocent surprise, then she laughed. "I will try my hardest not to."

As the two started dancing, Taliesin said, "Then you'll have to try pretty hard. I'm pretty sure that Lady Moraguse looked up my kilt when I slipped in the halls the other day. If SHE is tempted to do that, of all people, who else may succumb to my scotsman charms?"

Dina thought for a moment. "There is not a time that Lady Morgause doesnt try to look at a man. It is Lady Morgan that is harder to tempt."

As Taliesin spun Dindrane out and pulled her back in, he said, "She may very well have been looking on other occasions for all I know. But that is neither here nor there."

Sir Dinadan arrived and wandered around the edge of the crowd. He did not intend to participate in the ritual as much as observe it. He was unsure as to whether pagans were as bad as his fellow Christians made out, and wanted to observe first hand the kind of things they did in the name of their religion.

"Oh, I would rather keep my past lovers to myself," Morgause said with a laugh. "As I am sure you would also. So let us speak of something else." /////////// "I see. Then I will not pressure you further," Viviane murmured. "You are a good man, Merlin, and do not deserve that. I know you have had to do things that you disliked but I know that it was for the good of the kingdom and you did well by our young king." "Very well. I have discovered from my time Hallewes that is unwise to argue with a beautiful woman. What would you have us speak of?" Ironside replied. _______________________ "You humble me, Lady Viviane. It seems your beauty is only surpassed your kindness. Avalon is blessed to have you." Merlin replied modestly. The sorcerer turned to face the approaching druid. "Simply Merlin will suffice, Master Diwrnah. I was not born a noble and have no desire for the trappings of one." he answered in greeting.
