"That would defeat the purpose of you seeing Ireland, though," Iseult said, still smiling, "It is a beautiful country, the landscape is what I miss most, I think. It looks a lot like England, but everything is just more, if you understand, I don't suppose it will do. It must be because it is my homeland too."

"I'm sure that is the case. I feel the same about Cornwall. The grass is greener, the seas bluer, the air fresher. Except I know that is not really the case, it just feels that way. Although..."
She broke off with a smile.
"I feel like that about Avalon too. Everything really is brighter there, because the currents of magic run strong in the earth, far more so than they do here."

"I do not know much about magic, it must be so interesting to know about it, you're lucky." Iseult said, with a smile, so Avalon was magical, that made a sort of sense seeing as Morgan had now mentioned it twice. "Where is it?"

"In Dumnonia, close to Glastonbury Abbey, but it's not easily found unless you know the paths. I do now but the Lady Viviane had to teach me. I think the Otherworld must be like Avalon," Morgan said with a little sigh. "I will not be afraid of death if so. But don't let me rattle on, I hope I am not upsetting you with boasting of my knowledge?"

"Oh, not at all. I enjoy learning everything I can, so I never envy other people what they know, a lot of England is strange to me, despite being here a few years now," Iseult said, lightly, "you shall have to talk to me more about it before you leave, if you would not mind that is, I find it fascinating."

"I don't mind at all. Perhaps the Lady Viviane would invite you to visit her at Avalon some time if you were to make her acquaintance," she suggested. "I would be happy to accompany you if you would like it?"

"Perhaps, it sounds very nice from how you described it," Iseult said with a bright smile, "And your company would be all the better, should I look for her at the beltane?" She asked, big green eyes glittering.

"Oh yes, I would. She will certainly be there. Just make sure you speak to her before the rites begin. Lady Viviane is to be one of those performing the rites for us. I have never met a non magical person at Avalon so it would be interesting to see what you made of it."

Iseult had thought Morgan did not know who was performing the rites, perhaps she just forgot. "Well then I shall endeavour too," She said and rose, "Thank you for the talk and the mead, it has been lovely getting to know you better, but I cannot help but to think you have better things to be doing." Iseult smiled brightly, "I shall take my leave now, but thank you again."

She showed Iseult to the door.

Morgan's nervous maid let Mark into the room. She trembled more than ever today as she announced his arrival.
"K-k-king M-Mark of C-c-cornwall, my lady."
Morgan dismissed the woman, who shut the door too loudly in her rapid flight.
"Welcome King Mark. I am pleased you accepted my invitation. Please be seated. The food will be here presently."
Morgan was dressed in cobalt blue, her hair clasped behind her neck and flowing down her back. She was smiling as she held out her hand for Mark to kiss.

Out of courtesy Mark took her hand and pressed his lips to it briefly. He seated himself and studied her for a moment.
"I was pleased to accept my lady, although I am intrigued as to the invitation's true purpose."

She seated herself opposite him, still smiling. "Indeed? Well that is all to the good. It would be dull if you knew what to expect all the time, wouldn't it? I am sure you know that my father was once Duke of Cornwall."

"Indeed cousin. That I do remember." he said with a slight smile. " Gorlois was, after all my father's brother. "
