Dinadan considered her comment. "In the time I have spent in Marks court I have never seen him do such a thing." Dinadan replied. "So I believe that the chances of him doing so now are quite small."

"I...but kings are powerful, and I am so insignificant. People like me are as nothing to those of royal blood. We can be got rid of so easily if we do not please. I just...I just want to serve my lady and live quietly."

"Insignifigant? You serve a important Lady. Surely that must count for something." Dinadan argued.

"I suppose. But I'm still just a servant. Please, sir, why all these questions"?
The woman looked like she was about to turn and flee.

"I was simply curious as to why you seemed frightened." Dinadan replied. "If I am making you uncomfortable then I will leave."

"Plesae, sir. I just...It's not safe for me to talk to you," she whispered. "Especially here. My lady might come."

Dinadan had the information he had come for, and the maid was clearly uncomfortable...perhaps it was time to leave. "I see. Thank you for your time." Dinadan said, as he turned to leave.

"Good day, sir. May God keep you safe," she whispered. "Please go, before my lady wonders why I'm speaking to a knight."

Dinadan nodded and departed, pleased that he had discovered why the maid was frightened of King Mark.

Her servant opened the door and, since she knew Uriens was Morgan's betrothed, ushered him but halted him before he had hardly entered.
"You will have to wait a moment. Lady Morgan is taking her bath and it would not be seemly, you understand, my lord?"

Uriens sneered at her, but said nothing.

The maid left him alone at a shout from Morgan and went to the next room. Uriens had to wait another ten minutes before Morgan appeared. She was clothed in an enveloping rope that didn't quite conceal her curves, though it covered her from neck to ankle, and her hair had been rubbed dry. She came forward to Uriens when she saw him, smiling.
"My lord! How are you today? Have you been busy? I'm so sorry I've not had much time for you since we got back, but I must make myself worthy of my brother's trust since he left Camelot in my hands."

Uriens bowed to her, and offered her a small smile, "There is no offense. Thank you for sparing some time for me."

"I'm thankful we can spend some time together. Did you want something specific, or just to talk? I'm sorry we've not been able to marry yet, but everything has just happened so fast, there's not been time," Morgan sighed.
