"So am I. Now for when we meet again." Mordred made to leave the hall.

Sir Lamorak entered the throne room as another travel worn knight exited. He did not recognize the man so payed him little heed other than a nod of the head in respect.
Lamorak went to one knee before King Arthur not aware that he might be interrupting anything. "Your majesty, I have answered your summons with all possible haste. I fear that I come bearing no gifts, all I seem to have brought is the dust on my armor. It seems that I have collected half of which your kingdom has to offer. You are welcome to it lord king." He chuckled

Arthur smiled at that.
"You are dutiful, Sir Lamorak, but you may give your dust to our bathtubs. Fear not, I was not expecting gifts. We will be celebrating Beltane - or May Day as the Christians would have us call it - but this is no idle celebration. Serious matters are afoot, as you will learn in good time. But it is good to see you nonetheless. I know the men of Listeneise will not fail me."

Lamorak laughed at the King's comment about the dust then perked up at the mention of serious matters, perhaps there would be adventures. Ones for which songs would be written.
"The men of Listeneise will serve you faithfully, my father and his retinue will be along shortly. I decided it best if I rode ahead. I dare not wait for him for all the fair maidens would protest if I delayed my arrival." He said with mirth

"No doubt they would," Arthur said with a grin. "Have you an eye for any lady in particular, Lamerok? It might be that I can offer my support if so."

"I have my eyes an all of them my king. It would be most unfair if I were to give my attention to only one."he said

"Perhaps it would," Arthur said with a laugh. "I enjoy the company of ladies also. Your sister the Lady Dindrane is especially beautiful, and so is Lady Iseult, the daughter of King Anguysh. But you know, in a tourney a lady likes to give her favour to a knight. Surely you would not refuse to be a lady's champion if she chose you?"

" I would not dare refuse a lady's favor, that would be improper and unkind." He replied
"Lady Iseult, a beauty you say? I have yet to make her acquaintance." He looked about the room

""I do not believe Lady Iseult is present today," Arthur said. "But I am sure you may find her if you seek hard enough. My sister Morgan has made her acquaintance and I am sure she would be pleased to introduce you, as would I."

Sir Galahad entered and looked on. A dirty knight knelt before the King. Galahad scowled. What manner of man presented himself before his king in such a state? Galahad glared at the mans back as he spoke of Lady Iseult in such a lustful manner. The man was disgracing himself with every word, yet none of his fellow knights seemed to care. This didn't come as a great surprise to Galahad. Four years in Camelot had taught him that the stories of Arthur's gallant, chivalrous knights were just that, stories. Galahad suspected he could find pigs more chivalrous than his fellow knights. He glared at them in turn as he thought about it.

A dark-haired young woman, very curvaceous, eyed Sir Galahad with a lusty expression. She wore a long dress that clung to her bosom before flowing out around her legs. She sidled close to him.
"You look unhappy, sir."

Galahad turned, wiping the scowl of his face. "I am, my lady."

"You are too kind my king, it warms my heart to be in your presence once again. It has been too long." He was eager to get washed up and settled in. "I fear my attendants are with my fathers caravan. If I could impose upon your hospitality I would be most gracious." He said

"But why are you unhappy? Is it not pleasant to be here?" The dark-haired woman asked.
Galahad would recognise her as Morgause, the eldest of Arthur's half-sisters. She had a reputation for flirtation.

"Certainly. Speak to Sir Kay. He will assign you any servants you need. I wish only that my guests be made comfortable," Arthur said to Lamorak, his voice bearing the ring of sincerity.

Galahad frowned, not at her comment but at the fact that she was making him think of the shortcomings of his fellow knights. "My fellow knights may disgrace themselves with their actions, but I'll not disgrace them with my words." He said awkwardly. Her proximity to him was making him uncomfortable.
