"Oh, surely she does, but she is mine, and I won't let you have her!" Gawain said with a laugh. "What about one of the king's the Lady Iseult or the Lady Elaine? Both ladies are fair. I admit I haven't met anyone else who might be suitable. Or one of the druid girls of Avalon, perhaps?" "I don't like red hair." He said, of Iseult, scrunching his face in distaste, "No matter how pretty the face is, and I think Elaine favours my brother now, after I introduced them. I think she will do him more good than she would do me, so I let her get away." He paused for a second, "A druid, my mother would no doubt prefer, though she will want me to marry a woman I would like to, but I am not so old that I need to rush into marrying yet, there is adventuring to be done!"

Another boy helped Dina with other while others put out the fire on the arrow and the bow. Once the boy was safe, Dina could see that the fire had eaten away a section of his breeches and his flesh had burned as well and needed tending.
"It hurts," he groaned. "Oh God!"

"Oh.. Then we must be adversaries," the singer said. "I do know my prayers though. I'm not as wicked as to not know them."

"Of course. I was the same before I fell in love," Gawain replied. "But I can still go adventuring. Dina will probably just come with me, unless she's breeding. No matter, there is time yet. But I'll tell you this, a good woman is worth fighting for." He grinned again and drank. "There's three things I like best in the world, Lancelot. Drinking, fighting, and women. The order changes depending upon my mood."

"Well, that is better than nothing I suppose." Galahad sighed. "Why don't you speak to a priest about lust? They tend to have more patience than I in regard to matters of faith."

"It will be alright." Dina told him, trying to sooth him. She looked up. "One of you find someone who is skilled in healing." She told the boys around her.

"Which tops your list today, friend?" He asked, waving off the other knights wise words.

"Perhaps I will."
The singer got to his feet and sauntered away from Galahad. He moved to the far corner of the room and, glancing over at Galahad, winked and began to sing a bawdy song about a milkmaid and a cowherd.
//////////
One of the boys ran off to find somebody. Uther was crying in pain.
"It hurts, it hurts," he moaned, clinging onto Dina's hand. "Father will be so angry."

"I get the feeling that they will all be angrier with me then they will with you Uther." She told him with a wry smile., she put her hand on his forehead, the other still in his grasp.

The boy was moaning and after a while he started to sob.
"I made you do it," he said. "You didn't want to give it to me."
////////
"Could you? Are you that eager for battle? Perhaps I will oblige, but if that's so, I'd best stop drinking or you'll have an unfair advantage," Gawain pointed out.
//////
Meanwhile, one of the castle squires burst into the hall and yelled "Uther's hurt, Uther's hurt! We need a healer in the training yard!"

Dina shook her head.
"an accident." She said "I should learn not to play with fire and shouldn't be pursaded by you."

Uther nodded but she could tell he wasn#t really listening to her.

"I am eager not to lose any of my appendages in battle, a week or so of riding and no practice? I may as well leave my sword in my tent and throw myself at the enemy." He said goodnaturedly, and looked round as the squire ran in, with a concerned look, but having no idea who this 'Uther' was.
///////////////
Iseult had just sat down in the hall when she heard the squire come in and stood back up immediately, but looked around first in case anyone with more experience came forward. "I know some healing, what happened?" She asked as she quickly approached the squire.
