"Always try to be." Hallewes said she inclined her head at him before returning to their camp.

Meldryn Mawr looked anxiously at her.
"What happened? Did you get everything?"

Hallewes nodded.
"There is a settlement not far from here." She said, as she dropped the ingredients from her bag.

"AH good. WE could go straight for the settlement unless you want to do the ritual anyway."

"Will you need to teach it to me anyway?" Hallewes asked.

"I may do, in time. It's a useful skill to know, certainly."

"Then why not now." Hallewes said. "We may need it again before I am taught it otherwise."

"Then let us brew the potion. Your hands are much younger than mine, and stronger. I will need you to crush up each item we need ready for heating."
He handed her a mortar and pestle, produced a small pan and lit a fire with his powers. He began to heat half a bottle of red wine in the pan once it was hot enough.

Hallewes crushed the items as he had said.

"Oh? What did he say about me?" The old man asked,
He stirred the wine in the cauldron so it wouldn't burn or stick, and tipped each ingredient into the potion as she crushed it.

"I don't remember him too well, girl. But no matter. I have met with many sorcerors in my time. I cannot be expected to remember them all."
He tipped in a few more ingredients.
"I hope you are noting what we have used here?"

Hallewes nodded.
"I am good with potions." She told him.

"Excellent. Now then, we must wait for the ingredients to mix with the wine and then let it cool afterwards. We will need a soft blanket for you to lie upon. No, for both of us. We will need to enter the spirit world together. It is too dangerous to let you go there alone your first time."

Hallewes went to their packs and picked her own sleeping roll. The blanket was big enough for Meldryn too.
