They rode out presently and as they were riding towards the enemy camp, Arthur said "I hope they will agree to depart in peace. I don't want our men to die for me if it can be avoided."
They could see the enemy army up ahead, but the messengers were not at the appointed place yet.

Dinadan's eyes darted around looking for signs of danger.

Dinadan sees no signs of danger and is forced to conclude that there are none.
"I wonder where they are?" Arthur said anxiously. "But there's no signs of movement from their camp."

"I do not know, I can see no signs of a trap. Perhaps they overslept?" Dinadan ventured.

"What fools they would be, when they know we have an army here," Arthur observed. "We'd best wait , though. Do you think they will agree to leave?"

"I think they are divided." Dinadan replied. "But Pybba is in command, and he seemed determined to stay."

"Yes, I thought that too. The other man, he was Vortimer's cousin, but he didn't seem to have the same authority as Pybba. And if Vortimer is anything like the tales I heard of his father, he'd probably prefer us to be at war," Arthur mused.
They saw a group of horsemen riding towards them, probably about six of them.
"Oh, is that them?" Arthur asked.

"I would assume so." Dinadan said, squinting to try to determine if he recognised any of the riders.
OOC-Are Arthur and Dinadan alone?

Dinadan recognises Pybba but none of the others. He can't see Sir Blamour at all. He does register that the men are in armour.

"Your highness, can you think of a reason as to why Pybba would require five armoured men for this meeting?" Dinadan asked.

"None at all," Arthur replied. "Five, you say? That's odd. Unless he fears we'd betray him. Which I'd never do. I believe in honour."

"What if it is he who plans to betray us?" Dinadan wondered allowed. He moved his horse slightly ahead of Arthur's.

"OH. I didn't think of that."
Arthur sounded surprised, clear testament of his unwillingness to believe that not everybody shared his sense of honour.
"We've got our swords, if need be."
The group of riders wasn't behaving in a hostile manner, advancing at a steady pace.

Dinadan remained where he was, but made no move to draw his sword. "Perhaps Pybba is just paranoid." he commented.

"Maybe."
The group approached, the men forming a ring around Pybba's side and back.
"No Sir Blamour," Arthur whispered to Dinadan. "I wonder if that's a bad sign."
